To manage and coordinate legal disrepair cases and arbitration processes, ensuring all disrepair claims are dealt with efficiently, with minimal legal and financial exposure for the Council. The role will ensure value for money is achieved in settling disrepair cases, coordinating with the repairs partnering and legal teams, as well as with residents.
The Litigation Coordinator will handle a portfolio of cases, working closely with contractors and legal teams to ensure that disrepair cases are resolved promptly, while maintaining a high standard of service for tenants and leaseholders, and accurate record of the repairs history for individual repairs cases.
The role will ensure accurate monitoring of repair cases, including repairs history, expenditure and financial forecasting on legal disrepair cases, and enable informed decision making to effectively manage the overall disrepair programme, including prioritization of disrepair cases.

The Opportunity

• An opportunity has arisen to join an improving team within the Calibration & Maintenance Department for Semi-Skilled Electrical Calibration Operator. This will involve working on Commercial Off The Shelf equipment, Electrical Safety Checks. The work is extremely varied, interesting and challenging.

Role responsibilities

Carry out calibration Electrical of COTS Equipment using METCAL. Maintain calibration test records and update databases. Provide assistance to skilled operator during the calibration of Special to Type Test Equipment Carry out Electrical Safety Check Check and complete all paperwork associated with C&M tasks in line with the Department procedures. Maintain to the highest level, workmanship standards and quality standards. Ensure compliance with all associated procedures applicable to the department.

Role requirements (skills, training and qualifications)

The successful candidate should be a team player who is able to demonstrate customer focus. They should also have proven planning and organising skills and be flexible and adaptable.

• BTEC Level 3 in Electrical & Electronics or equivalent is preferred.
• Relevant experience in a calibration & maintenance environment.
• Manual handling training.
• ESD training - desired.

• Colophony health surveillance.
