Senior Corporate Counsel, Employee Privacy
The Senior Corporate Counsel, Employee Privacy will work with the Data Legal team, the Employment Legal team and the Data Protection Officer to implement initiatives necessary for demonstrating compliance with GDPR and global data protection laws as respect to the privacy rights of Autodesk employees. You will develop strategies and initiatives to engage with important partners and raise awareness of data privacy compliance for employee data across the company. You will be based in Dublin or Barcelona and will report to the Senior Privacy & Data Security Counsel.

Key Responsibilities
Your responsibilities include:
- Research and track global privacy and security legislation, evolving regulations, enforcement and their impact on employee privacy rights and translate into actionable guidance for the business.
- Provide counsel on EU and global data privacy laws, regulations, and industry best practices, with focus on employee data processing.
- Provide counsel on Autodesk's compliance with global data protection laws, regulations, customer, and vendor contracts concerning employee data.
- Provide guidance to legal and business teams on best practices regarding processing of employee data for several company initiatives in compliance with EU and global data protection laws.
- Provide legal guidance and collaborate with the HR team and Employment Legal team when responding to employee Data Subject Access (DSAR) requests.
- Complete PIAs, DPIAs and LIAs for business processes and initiatives that process sensitive employee data.
- Help develop Autodesk's global privacy program regarding employee data protection and related internal and external policies, compliance processes and procedures, documentation, and communication materials.
- Collaborate with data governance and business teams to create and maintain records of processing.
- Help develop training materials and providing training to employees on privacy and security related obligations for employee data and further develop our privacy and data protection practices in the EU and globally.
Job Requirements
- 7+ years of relevant work experience in data privacy, security and compliance.
- Expertise in EU and global data protection laws and their impact on employee privacy rights, including an in-depth knowledge of the GDPR and national data protection laws.
- Expertise in advising on global compliance frameworks.
- Excellent communication and negotiation skills, with the ability and confidence to represent Autodesk in the area of data privacy and security.
- Work and lead under pressure, exhibiting decision making skills, and with a sense of humor and balance.
- Written, oral and interpersonal communication skills, able to quickly gain the respect of and interacting with and influencing senior leaders.
- Strong wok ethic, a self-starter, and accountable.
- Law degree and CIPP certifications
- Language skills a plus
