Your new role
Working closely with key stakeholders, you will ensure that the business, engineering and manufacturing quality processes are in place, you will monitor and analyse product performance ensuring adequate inspection processes are in place and the business is compliant with industry standards.
You will lead and champion root cause analysis and implement corrective actions, utilising 5 Whys and Fishbone, drive continuous improvement initiatives utilising Kaizan and Lean Six Sigma. You will conduct product risk assessments (PFMEA) and ensure calibration and inspection processes are in place for all tools and equipment. You will implement process improvement initiatives, conduct supplier audits and manage supplier quality performance.

What you'll need to succeed
With a degree in Mechanical, Electrical or Industrial engineering, you will have gained experience in a manufacturing environment (Automotive, Aerospace or Defence sector). You will have proven experience in lean manufacturing processes (Six Sigma), for quality auditing, you will be familiar with ISO 9001 and IATF 16949, APQP and PPAP.

Quality Administrator

We are working with a well-established, regional Building Contractor who specialise in the delivery of energy efficiency measures to Social Housing properties. They are proud to reduce fuel poverty for tenants across the UK and take pride in their work. As a result of growth and their desire to continue to deliver a high quality service, they are looking for a Quality Administrator to join them on a permanent basis, based across two of their sites in Bradford & Halifax (driving licence and transport essential).

You will be working closely with the Compliance Team, requesting, collating and preparing evidence and relevant documentation required for the Energy Efficiency Measures to be carried out.

Key Responsibilities

• Collation of all necessary paperwork associated with installation of Energy Efficiency measure in line with PAS 2035:2019 & MCS process
• Working closely with project Retrofit Coordinators ensuring PAS & MCS installation paperwork is provided in line with the main contract programmes
• Provide compliance advice to regional delivery teams regarding energy efficiency measures
• Upload documentation to various locations/share points

We are seeking a confident individual with good knowledge of the machining or welding of sheet metal, to join our client as a Quality Inspector. The role is working in the Quality department of their large modern factory in Stanton, Suffolk.

It is a full-time role, working 39 hours per week from 8:00 – 16:30 Mon to Thurs, and 8:00 – 15:30 on Fridays with overtime available during the week. • Support the accomplishment of construction human resource objectives by selecting, orienting, training, assigning, scheduling, coaching, counseling, and disciplining employees; communicating job expectations; planning, monitoring, appraising job contributions; recommending compensation actions; adhering to policies and procedures.

• Act as the main QAQC adviser on project site for subcontractors, crafts people and operatives

• Prepare and plan QAQC procedures and documents for the project/ works

• Attend to and prepare for any quality inspection required for the works

• Formulate and implement a quality assurance program for the worksite including but not limited to training, assessment and implementation to ensure quality works on site

• Maintain, formulate and follow through quality assurance system and follow through the audit requirements

• Advise and monitor the operation team for quality execution of the works on site

• Liaise with Clients, consultants, architects, subcontractors/ vendors with regards to quality execution and planning of the works

• Liaising with the local authority (where appropriate to the project) to ensure compliance with local construction regulations and by-laws in relation to quality

• Liaising with clients and their representatives (architects, engineers and surveyors), including attending regular meetings to keep them informed of quality aspects of the works

• Day-to-day management of the site, including supervising and monitoring the site supervisory crew, labour force and the work of any subcontractors to ensure quality execution of the works

• Overseeing quality control and health and safety matters on site;

• Preparing reports as required;

• Resolving any unexpected technical difficulties and other problems that may arise.

• Updates job knowledge by tracking and understanding emerging construction practices and standards; participating in educational opportunities; reading professional publications; maintaining personal networks; participating in professional organizations.

• Managing, monitoring and interpreting the contract design documents/ drawings supplied by the client, architect or consultant;

• Enhances organization reputation by accepting ownership for accomplishing new and different requests; exploring opportunities to add value to job accomplishments.

• Upholding Company’s work ethics and proper display of representation to Clients/Vendors/Subcon

Requirements

• Degree in Engineering or equivalent

• Min. 2 year of relevant experience in Quality Assurance, Process Audit

• Min 2 years in the Oil and Gas Industry

• Trained in ISO:9000 / Internal Quality Audit Trainings preferred

• Performance-driven and excellent leadership skills
