The University of South Wales is one of the largest employers in South Wales, delivering quality higher education services in Wales and further afield to over 25,000 students. The Quality and Academic Services Manager role is based in a large Academic Registry at the University of South Wales, whose core responsibility is to ensure quality of provision, adherence and compliance to regulation.
The Quality and Academic Services Manager will be responsible for ensuring the effective delivery of quality assurance and enhancement for the faculty for which the Quality Manager is responsible; (including the associated collaborative provision in partnership with the Quality and Partnerships Manager).
They will provide authoritative advice and guidance to all staff on all aspects of the management of academic standards, academic quality and quality enhancement, regulatory matters and associated queries. The Manager will hold a key Faculty and Corporate Department liaison role working closely with academic and administrative staff in an integrated way.
The university is currently operating a hybrid-model of working. The role will be based primarily at the University of South Wales’ Treforest campus, although you will work on other campuses of the University as well as homeworking.
The role is full time and fixed-term position, although Job share may be considered.
If you are a successful candidate and this position will be your first professional services role at the University (or you are currently employed by PSS Ltd), you will be employed by Professional and Support Services Limited, a wholly owned subsidiary of the University of South Wales, which provides services to the University and Colleges. If you are an internal professional services candidate, you will continue to be employed by the University of South Wales.
