In the role of a Science Assistant, you will:

As a OPERATIONS RESEARCH ANALYST at the GS-1515-11 some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Designs, plans, research, performs, and supports modeling and simulation-based warfighting proficiency analyses spanning U.S., ally, and partner warfighting plans, options, concepts, and capabilities.
• Conducts directed warfighting analytics in accordance with Defense Priorities.
• Assesses warfighting proficiency (at mission and campaign levels) to evaluate, enhance, and advise on warfighting courses of action, joint warfighting capability mixes, and to develop detailed mission and campaign-level warfighting recommendations for Combatant Command planning, exercise, and experimentation staffs.
• Designs, develops, research, operates, and maintains mission and campaign-level databases and data analysis tools that underpin studies within the division and across the DoD analytic community.

• Performs a broad range of assessment; analyses; or experimentation of fielded or emerging capabilities/technologies associated with Command, Control, Intelligence, Surveillance, and Reconnaissance (C2ISR) supporting the Joint commands with national or international responsibilities.
