The following are the duties of this position at the full working level.

• This assistance work will be provided to the following groups: regular field and integrated. This position involves detailed paraprofessional support duties related to the examination of tax returns and/or the investigation of alleged tax fraud performed by Internal Revenue Agents. The technician is responsible for a segment or phase of the audit or investigation as assigned by the Supervisory Internal Revenue Agent, which will serve as an integral part in completing and closing the audit or assignment.

• As instructed by the Revenue Agent, independently locates, searches, and documents specific information from records of individuals, corporations, banks, brokerage firms, etc. This information may be gathered from digital or paper accounting records, files, computer printouts, etc. Participates in determining which information is appropriate and at what point sufficient information has been gathered. Analyzes taxpayer records, third party records and financial data to identify trends and patterns. Identifies and reports discrepancies and inconsistencies to the agent. Documents the facts and/or evidence obtained to ensure that appropriate facts are available for the Revenue Agent to reach a sound conclusion.

• Independently prepares, verifies, and assembles work papers, schedules and exhibits, and related documentation that reflect the presentation of facts and the analysis performed. Major Duties of this position include:

• Perform simple and routine maintenance and repair of grounds, exterior structures, buildings, equipment and related utilities. Utilize a variety of materials, tools, and equipment associated with the repair and maintenance of such.
• Assists with the maintenance and preservation of historic and non-historic structures. This position requires skills applied to the maintenance, stabilization, restoration, repair and/or reconstruction of various historic and non-historic masonry and adobe structures.
• Performs carpentry/woodworking tasks such as reconstruction, restoring or rehabilitating wood structures (rafters, doors, windows, trusses, beams, interior and exterior trim etc.).
• Assist other higher-graded employees under general supervision in preservation work, general landscaping and grounds maintenance, basic carpentry, simple electrical installations or repairs, basic plumbing work, and painting interior and exterior surfaces, and perform a variety of janitorial services. Operates a light truck to pick up supplies and to transport materials to and from work sites while assisting on project work. Assists with the setup of complex scaffolding systems.
• Performs simple and basic research of records pertaining to historic and/or prehistoric structures for the purposes of assessing their physical condition, style, preservation needs, and conservation work required. • Three or more years’ hands-on apartment or building maintenance experience required.

• Strong knowledge of plumbing, electrical, HVAC, carpentry, and appliance repair work.

• HVAC-EPA (Type II) or EPA Universal certification is required.

• Certified Pool Operator (CPO) certification strongly preferred.  Associates hired without a CPO certification will be required to obtain within 90 days of hire.

• Ability to read and comprehend budgets.

• Supervisory experience required.

• Experience with Yardi or other property management accounting software.

• High school diploma or equivalent required.

• Ability to read, write, understand, and communicate in English.

• Experience using Microsoft Outlook, Word, and Excel.

DaVita Kidney Care, is bringing our industry-leading clinical quality to patients on-site at skilled nursing facilities (SNF) through a new team called DaVita Skilled Nursing Dialysis Services.  Approximately 10% of all dialysis patients reside in a SNF and are transported to dialysis three times a week placing a significant burden on patients and adding significant avoidable costs to the health care system. DSD Services teammates will have access to all the capabilities and resources DaVita has to offer, and will work to quickly leverage these to develop the infrastructure and rapidly grow the new service line. Ideal teammates will have significant experience within DaVita, get energized by a start-up type environment and improving the lives of patients, and have a track record of finding ways to GSD. Teammates must be comfortable working autonomously and have demonstrated the ability to collaborate with cross-functional resources across the Village.

What you can expect:

In this role, you take responsibility for the complete ongoing care of each patient to ensure their dialysis treatment stays on track. PCTs will work in conjunction with dialysis RNs to provide dialysis care. You will work 3 days a week - with possible travel to cover nearby SNF clinics. You will also be required to work alternating Saturdays, yet your impact on the lives of our patients and their families will be felt every day.

Patient Care: Spending the majority of your day in direct one-on-one patient care to provide safe, comfortable and hygienic dialysis treatment.

Complexity: DSD Dialysis care is a complex but fulfilling service line.  Meeting and/or exceeding clinical outcomes are the goals and multitasking is an expectation to meet the needs of the service, the patients and our SNF partners.  

Autonomy and Critical Thinking: Provide comprehensive patient care in an independent setting. Plan to be on your toes at all times. You use your mind constantly. You apply your "core" skills to monitor patients before, during and after dialysis treatment including measuring and recording stats, patient observations, and hemodialysis machine setup. There's a lot to track and manage and the joy comes in witnessing how your care impacts patients' lives.

Some details about this position:

• Your training will include a combination of classroom and hands-on learning, through DaVita’s award-winning training programs
• Training may take place in a facility or a training clinic with a class of new teammates other than your assigned home clinic
• Hours of work may vary during the training period; however, you will typically be working between 32-40 hours per week during training
• May be asked to support other local SNF dens

You must have:

• High school diploma or equivalent
• MUST SHOW A VALID AND ACTIVE CCHT/OCDT ON THE NNCC WEBSITE
• Basic computer skills and proficiency in MS Word and Outlook
