This is a full performance level position as a CensiTrac Coordinator responsible for the oversight of the SPS automated equipment tracking system in the Sterile Processing Services. Typical duties include but are not limited to:

• Management, creation, trouble shooting, problem solving, monitoring, and maintaining instrument tracking systems as well as coordinating, maintaining, and monitoring instrument maintenance and repair.
• Initiates tracking reports and data analysis for Sterile Processing service.

• Lead Field crews to implement vegetation and ecological restoration project work.

Starting at $17.35 Per Hour (GS 4-5)

Positions are being recruited in both Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks including positions in the Lodgepole, Grant Grove and Cedar Grove Subdistricts.

EMTs will be assigned ambulance duty, responding as the initial provider for most EMS calls. EMTs will request assistance from other trained personnel as necessary. The park employs approximately 25 permanent rangers who have certifications ranging from EMT to Paramedic. The parks respond to roughly 350 calls annually ranging from first aid to advanced life support. EMTs respond to roughly ten fatal incidents each year. EMTs will conduct appropriate patient assessment, make a transport decision, and work within established NPS Protocols under medical control. EMTs will make base hospital contact via phone and radio patch. Patient care will be documented appropriately in the field to allow for electronic reporting after the call. EMTs will keep supplies stocked and notify their supervisor when supplies need to be ordered. Ambulances will be cleaned and organized for effective response. Equipment will be decontaminated and cleaned after every call. EMTs will plan, prepare for, and execute EMS training for local responders. EMTs may conduct other emergency services operations with appropriate certifications including Search and Rescue, structural and wildland fire, extrication, and visitor services. The parks respond to roughly 150 SAR incidents a year, with a handful of them requiring technical rescue. EMTs will be responsible to respond as directed to manage foot and vehicle traffic in congested areas. EMTs may be assigned project work during slow periods or intermittent down time.

Housing: Available rental housing units may include tent cabins, mobile homes, apartments, or traditional houses and housing/rooms will likely be shared with other employees, interns, volunteers, etc. Units may be rustic, located in wilderness areas, with few if any modern conveniences. Pets (other than service pets) and overnight guests are not allowed; units are to house assigned employees only.

Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks represent an extraordinary continuum of ecosystems (96% designated wilderness) arrayed along the greatest vertical relief (1,370 to 14,505 feet elevation) of any protected area in the lower 48 states. They are the highest, most rugged reaches of the Sierra Nevada Mountains (including Mount Whitney at 14,505 feet elevation) and feature the world's largest trees - Giant Sequoias. • Pharmacy Dispensing/Distribution Services: The Pharmacy Technician will be involved in assuring appropriate, safe, and accurate medications are dispensed to veterans in an efficient manner. The pharmacy technician will provide a range of medication management and administrative services. These activities include:
  • Maintains workflow patterns that assure timely delivery of pharmacy services and ensures accurate documentation and dispensing of pharmaceuticals.
  • Effectively organizes workload, solves problems, and achieves established goals.

At Chaco Culture National Historical Park and Aztec Ruins National Monument, selectees will assist in a variety of culture resource projects, including archeological surveys, site condition assessments and monitoring, graffiti remediation, preservation projects, GIS database management, and data entry into Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS), the New Mexico Cultural Resources Inventory System (NMCRIS) and internal park databases. Additional work may include monitoring ground disturbance for park facilities improvement projects and escorting tribal members or researchers into backcountry sites.

At Colorado National Monument, selectees will assist with a variety of cultural resource projects including archeological surveys and site documentation, condition assessments and site monitoring, inventorying un-surveyed lands, removing graffiti from CR sites, maintaining related site records and databases including Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS) and GIS database management.

At Flagstaff Area National Monuments, selectees will primarily be performing archeological site assessments (monitoring), preservation maintenance of maintained archeological sites, and maintaining related site records and databases.

At Glen Canyon National Recreation Area, selectees will assist with a variety of cultural resource projects, including archeological surveys and condition assessments, maintaining related site records, Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS) and GIS database management, and assisting with preservation projects. Work will include camping and backpacking field work in remote locations.

At Mesa Verde National Park, selectees will assist with a variety of cultural resource projects, including archeological surveys and site documentation, condition assessments and site monitoring, maintaining related site records and databases including Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS) and GIS database management. Sites are predominately Ancestral Pueblo, but also include historical sites related to Ute, Diné (Navajo), and early park uses.

At Rocky Mountain and Glacier National Park, selectees will assist with a variety of projects including Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS)/geodatabase management, monitoring, archeological survey and site documentation and post-fire recovery efforts.

At Valles Caldera National Preserve, selectees will assist with a variety of cultural resource projects, including archeological surveys and condition assessments, inventorying un-surveyed lands, maintaining related site records, Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS) and GIS database management, and assisting with infrastructure improvement, trail maintenance, and preservation projects. Work will include field work in remote locations accessible by foot, bike, UTV, and/or electric truck.

At Yellowstone National Park, selectees will assist with a variety of cultural resource projects, including archeological surveys and condition assessments, maintaining related site records, Cultural Resources Inventory System (CRIS) and GIS database management, and assisting with preservation projects. Work will include camping and backpacking field work in remote locations.

Positions will be filled at one grade level and have no promotion potential.

Starting at $18.96 Per Hour (GS 5-7)

1. Independently performs a variety of complex budgetary, administrative, and statistical functions to support budget formulation. Organizes budget data according to appropriation account, object class, and line item code.

The typical seasonal entry-on-duty period for Sequoia and Kings Canyon National Parks is May-November but can be variable during these months due to weather conditions, project needs, or funding.

The position is at the full performance level located in the Department of Veterans Affairs (VA),Veterans Health Administration (VHA), at the Northern Arizona Health Care System (NAVAHCS) for Primary Care Service Line. Major duties and responsibilities include:

• Determines technical factors, sets control and operates equipment and instruments. Sets technical factors, adjusting for patient anomalies. Sets operational parameters for equipment with few operating functions.
• Performs a range of diagnostic support duties such as taking specimens, labeling specimens for the laboratory, etc. Obtains venous blood samples from patients, using proper techniques, identification of patient, use of safety needles, etc. Prepares, packages, and ships specimens to Northern Arizona VA Health Care System (NAVAHCS) adhering to regulations of the transport of biohazardous specimens.

Documents pertinent information including current health status and subtle changes in the patient s status. Gathers data and prepares reports.
• Performs administrative tasks such as maintaining control records for specimens and tests and documenting measurements taken.
