The agreed amount of time spent at a workplace for this post will reflect the requirement for Civil Servants to spend at least 60% of their working time in an organisation workplace with the option to work the remaining time flexibly from home. Working time spent at a workplace may include time spent at other organisational locations including field-based operational locations, together with supplier, customer or partner locations. This is a non-contractual agreement which is consistent with common Civil Service expectations.

Out of hours work may be required in the event of an incident.

Travel will be required to attend a variety of APHA locations including occasional overnight stays.
Person specification
The post holder will be able to demonstrate the following knowledge, skills and experience:

Experience of working in a business management function role or environment.
Developed managerial skills in business management combined with policy or technical expertise to make sound and balanced judgements.
Up-to-date knowledge of business management and experience of using this knowledge to provide advice and guidance to more senior grades and those in your team.
Experience of managing and developing team / professional skills and capabilities.
Experience of developing, producing and analysing data, intelligence, and management information to inform decision making and drive great outcomes.
Experience of reviewing and developing systems and processes and implementing new ways of working.
Proven leadership skills, with the ability to inspire and motivate teams to achieve high performance.
Strong written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to interact effectively with a wide range of colleagues and stakeholders
Ability to persuade and influence senior grades and stakeholders, and to advise and guide more junior employees on complex or contentious issues.

The Role
Reporting to the Executive GM, the role will support the development and execution of the organisations strategy through providing sound revenue and operational business analysis.
You will be required to business partnering with the the CFO, GM Finance, GM Strategy and a number of other senior decision makers and provide critical insights and influence commercial outcomes. Specifically, your role will include:


Prepare and communicate ongoing performance reporting
Provide extensive business and industry analysis to deliver insights that assist in developing and executing a range of strategies that contribute to the achievement of organisational goals.
Responsibility for the preparation of the annual budget and regular forecasting for assigned Programs.
Work with Senior Management and Executive to complete accurate costings and business cases.
