Who You Are

• Cross-Functional Relationships - Strong interpersonal and communication skills allowing the incumbent to work alongside the business, including Head of GM & DFS, on a day-to-day basis; Establish and maintain effective relationships with partners in CIBC, including, Operations, Finance, Risk Management, Technology, Legal and Compliance and other corporate governance groups as required to help address and resolve day-to-day issues as well as deliver on business initiatives; and Maintain regular dialogue with regional business managers and their teams as required on global initiatives and issues.

Who You Are

• You possess knowledge of Financial Products (products and processes) with a minimum of 10 years of working experience in the Financial Services industry is an asset;

• You have university degree in Business Management/Accounting Designation. CA, CMA, CGA, or equivalent, is preferred;

• You have strong problem solving, analytical, judgment and change implementation capabilities;

• You have the ability to establish and build healthy working relationships and partnerships with the business, as well as peers, and wide variety of stakeholders (Finance, Middle Office, Risk Management, Technology, etc.);

What You’ll Do

The Director of Business Development will be responsible for developing and maintaining new business clients in Ascent’s focused Mobility Vertical. Job Summary

• Acting as the stop loss sales lead, especially related to complex cases.
• Focusing on managing with Sales team all new Opportunity Stop Loss placement and assisting Client Management on complex renewal cases and presentation of case to carrier(s)
• Focusing on determining alternative paths to getting data that Stop Loss carriers require to quote new opportunity.
• Acting as a resource for Sales and Client Management in moving Broker placed Stop Loss to Health Benefits direct placement.
• Leading monthly cadence and strategizes with client management, sales, and leadership to meet growth and retention goals. 
  • Prioritizing cases that should be targeted to move Stop Loss from Broker placed to Health Benefits placed.  Create action plan for each case to approach Broker to sell placement by Health Benefits.
  • Prioritizing cases that should be consolidated to preferred Stop Loss carriers to improve override revenue and improve Health Benefits position within carrier panel.   Identify which carriers each case should be discussed with and strategy for placement.
  • Reviewing list of cases that are not placed by Health Benefits and do not have integration fee to ensure that the waiving of integration fee is appropriate action.   Determine if the integration fee set for non-preferred carriers is set at the appropriate level.   Any waiver of integration fees needs to be approved by the U/W – Stop Loss Director
  • Ensuring Client Management has broader access to the Stop Loss claims team to discuss potential Stop Loss issues prior to them reaching escalation point.
• Ensuring that any pricing changes as the renewal moves from UW to Client Services is approved and documented across the enterprise.  Recommend not to allow client services to change pricing once it has passed through the Underwriting / pricing process.  If change is required it must be reviewed and approved by Client Management, Finance, and U/W – Stop Loss Director.   Documentation must occur regarding change in pricing.
• Identifying cases that may have high probability of significant rate increases or other stop loss carrier action and create action plan and proactive data plan to manage Stop Loss renewal.  Engage Stop Loss New Business / Complex Case Lead to assist in managing case with carriers.
• Analyzing monthly reports of stop loss carriers and collaborates with client management, sales executives, and brokers to create customized solutions.  
• Developing, building, and maintaining strong relationships with key stop loss carriers to negotiate the best possible terms for new business prospects and clients to maximize new business sales and client retention.
• Acting as an SME to internal customers.
• Maintaining solid knowledge of existing and new products, services, networks, vendors, and partners. 
• Providing support to internal stakeholders and leadership as necessary. 
• Analyzing concerns and pain points and creates compelling pricing options.
• Preparing and maintains stop loss data and historical carrier information for business analysis. Works with leadership and stakeholders to ensure that stop loss carrier changes are communicated and implemented as appropriate.

The Commercial Strategy & Innovation (CSI) role is responsible for providing end-to-end strategy in accessing new vaccine opportunities in China, driving the new product development process through proactively cooperating with cross functional teams.  This will be achieved through management and facilitation of new product business assessment, development strategy, prioritization, investment decisions, market development and eventual successful handover to inline business unit.

In addition, the role is responsible for supporting ongoing strategic priorities and building up the China vaccine pipeline through ongoing strategic market assessments & evaluations of Pfizer’s global pipeline and external opportunities.

Success will be met through exceptionally close coordination and partnership with CSI global vaccine team, CSI Business Assessment team, CSI Competitive Intelligence team, Development China team,  Local Medical/Regulatory, Business Units, Market Access, Finance, PGS, Legal and external experts in academia, health, and the Government (MOH, NMPA, CDC).

ROLE RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Develop and execute on a China vaccine strategy to balance near-term and long-term priorities.

QUALIFICATIONS AND REQUIREMENTS:

• At least 10+ years’ experience in pharma/biotech marketing, product management, new product planning, business development or strategic planning, with a strong understanding of China pharma market and solid track record in accelerating pipeline launch in China.

• Undergraduate degree qualifications in Medical, Pharmacy or healthcare related discipline. Other qualifications in business/marketing will be considered as well. Preferred: Postgraduate or MBA qualification in Marketing or similar.

The Associate Director, Total Rewards Strategy & Operations, EMEA is responsible for Total Rewards strategy as it relates to the respective region / geography, cross segments and functions, and driving & implementing the Global Total Rewards strategy, data, systems, processes, analytics, compliance, as well as related policies and programs, at a regional and country/cluster level.

What You Will Need:

• 10+ yrs. working in health system complex contract and pricing strategy and finance operations with a heavy focus leading managed care strategy, price transparency, physician enterprise strategy, digital health transformation, revenue portfolio rebalancing, access, enterprise strategy, M&A, payer-provider partnership and their design and implementation. 
• Demonstrated success in complex problem solving and root cause analysis and structured solutioning to better engineer financial objectives and the operations /reimbursement for the consumer, business and clinician to measurably improve satisfaction and impact. 
• 3+ yrs. experience independently owning senior level stakeholder relationships/communication and accountability for delivering successful cross-functional project outcomes
• Management consulting experience or consulting like experience managing client and internal teams responsible for managed care strategy, price transparency, physician enterprise strategy, revenue portfolio rebalancing, access and/or enterprise strategy
• 3+ yrs. applying financial rigor that resulted in demonstrative financial turn around in struggling Health entities
• Proficient understanding of EMR applications (Epic and Cerner)
• 10+ yrs. strategizing, interpreting and designing process, data, and metadata to synthesize and execute strategies and process change and improvement that deliver defined financial results
• You have the ability to quickly synthesize information and data and present to senior level stakeholders 
• Ability to create standardized processes with strong organization, time management and project management skills

What You Will Do:

The Associate Director (AD) Transmission Planning-Energy Markets West plays a key role in developing, proposing, and delivering solutions related to Transmission Planning, especially focused on the changing industry dynamics as part of a clean energy future. This AD Transmission Planning position is a highly challenging role that draws heavily upon all of the analytical, creative, and interpersonal skills essential to delivering effective regulatory and general strategy consulting engagements. It is essential for the AD Transmission Planning to have the ability to assume complete ownership of significant West Energy Market projects while at the same time being a part of and leading a team. The AD Transmission Planning will also function as a consultant and must organize their own tasks and schedules in conducting substantial business analyses and delivering high-quality, client-ready work.  As our clients are often large with complex systems, the AD Transmission Planning must demonstrate considerable poise and business maturity to perform effectively and add value in the client environment. The AD Transmission Planning must effectively represent and advocate for Guidehouse and our clients in multiple industry forums.
