An opportunity has arisen to for a Band 6 dosimetrist to join the radiotherapy physics team at St Bartholomew’s Hospital, with appointment at band 5 possible for less experienced (or newly qualified) staff and training provided to progress to band 6.



The department delivers a comprehensive Radiotherapy service to approximately 2000 patients per year including a brachytherapy service and a complex Stereotactic Radiotherapy service.



A major part of the work involves complex treatment planning, particularly VMAT and dynamic IMRT Planning.The treatment planning team is also involved in Stereotactic radiotherapy planning (SRS), 4D planning, VMAT QA, and plan checking. Adaptive Radiotherapy Planning is routine for bladder treatments.



Treatment Planning is carried out on Eclipse for the five Varian TrueBeam linacs.



Two linacs have HyperArc and a 6d couch for intracranial Stereotactic treatment.



Pre-treatment imaging is carried out on the department’s widebore CT scanner and there is also access to MR and PET-CT in the hospital.



The post holder will carry out a range of VMAT, IMRT and conformal planning and will have the opportunity to develop skills in stereotactic planning and take part in research and development projects.

To assist in the provision of an efficient, high quality patient treatment planning service for Radiotherapy. Provide advice to the Clinical Oncologists, Radiographers and Physicists. Assist with an in-vivo dosimetry service. Participate in the teaching, training and development work of the Section.

The Ethnicity, Mental Health Improvement Programme(EMHIP) is a three-year innovative locality-based service improvement programme consisting of five key interventions to reduce ethnic inequalities in access, experience and outcomes of mental health care in South West London.

The postholder will be responsible for managing the Crisis Family Placement Scheme of EMHIP and delivering the various aspects of this intervention.

We are looking for Project Lead with excellent project management skills to providing comprehensive project management across different projects, programmes and work streams, and supporting the Inpatient Social Work Lead to ensure outputs are delivered effectively and to time. This requires you to take responsibility for day-to-day delivery, and subsequent performance management, adjusting plans as required to ensure that risks and issues are mitigated.

This role offers will work collaboratively with internal and external stakeholders to ensure effective management of interdependencies and delivery of objectives. It is expected that the specific projects managed by the post holder will change over time as the portfolio of work changes.
• The post holder will support the development of project plans and the delivery of agreed milestones and objectives. Supporting the development of business cases to the Trust/ICB/ LBE related to Mental Health Care.
• The post holder will need to evaluate conflicting data/information from different stakeholders and be capable of making an independent judgement about what that data/information means. Providing suggestions to enhance whole patient journey and pathways.
• The post holder willprovide and receive highly complex, highly sensitive or highly contentious information to stakeholders, including that relating to financial flows or system enhancement relating to Mental Health Care, It will have regular contact with a wide range of staff and partners at all levels within and outside of the Trust/ICB/ LBE,
