Security Engineer

About the Job

• Implement and test security alerts and controls, resolving any issues that threaten compliance.
• Manage changes to administrative processes and IT documentation to meet data security standards.
• Deploy and update IT security software and hardware (e.g., Active Directory, endpoint security, role management).
• Assist in regular compliance audits, reviews, and testing, including SOx, PCI-DSS, and GDPR assessments.
• Oversee third-party suppliers to ensure they adhere to security and compliance responsibilities.
• Participate in forums like the Design Review Group to ensure security considerations are embedded in projects.
• Contribute to other IT initiatives, supporting team goals.

We’re looking for a candidate who has:

• Strong skills in Windows server and desktop management, including Active Directory and Group Policy.
• A background in IT technical delivery (e.g., an experienced and adaptable support engineer).
• Excellent communication skills with attention to accuracy and detail.
• A “can do” attitude with the willingness to support issues beyond core competencies.
• The ability to stay calm and focused under pressure.
• An analytical mindset and strong attention to detail.
• Experience with security principles, particularly related to Active Directory and infrastructure management.

• Familiarity with policy and procedure development and implementation.

Legal Internship – 1 week placement – Croxley Park - Signet Jewelers

Are you available for the full week (commencing 5th August 2024), and within close proximity to our Croxley Park Office, based in Watford?

We are offering two students the opportunity to join our one-week paid internship, working in our Legal, Risk, Compliance and Strategy Department.

You will be guided and supported throughout your internship, with ongoing feedback and development - provided by expert colleagues. You will gain wide exposure and an all-round view of the work we do in our in-house Legal Team, particularly in Commercial Law.

You will be actively involved in tasks such as:

Drafting a range of legal documentation, such as dispute resolution letters

Summarising legal documents

Reviewing marketing material

Legal administration

Exposure to Data Privacy

Exposure to Intellectual Property

Exposure to litigation

Involvement in team meetings

One to one time with senior team members

Opportunity to experience hybrid working

Our ideal applicant will be currently studying for a Law Degree (or equivalent) and must be fully available from Monday 5th August – Friday 9th August. You will be required to attend our Store Support Centre based at Croxley Park, Watford on Monday, Tuesday, Thursday and Friday, with a hybrid arrangement on Wednesday where you will be working from home - working a total of 37 hours.

The post holder will work within the HCT clinical governance framework, which is embedded in the day-to-day practice. Every clinical member of staff must work within the framework.
