Serves as a physical security consultant to leadership and Police Services staff;
Coordinates physical security programs nationally by coordinating efforts or functions that impact multiple medical centers and sites of care;

This Supervisory Human Resources Specialist position is located Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport (PHX), Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). Duties include but are not limited to:

• Serves as a Supervisory Human Resources Specialist providing management advisory services on organizational Human Resource (HR) projects that are often complex and difficult to resolve. The incumbent assigns subordinates to resolve issues/problems requiring consideration of multiple human resource laws, policies and procedures. Applies a comprehensive knowledge of human resource management to provide advice and assistance to managers. Exercises an expert knowledge of HR recruitment, placement and processing.
• Provides leadership in implementing, evaluating, and improving HR processes and procedures to monitor the effectiveness, efficiency, and productivity of the organization directed.

Salary Information: The salary range for Phoenix, AZ (PHX - Phoenix Sky Harbor International Airport) is $49,128 to $60,575 or $23.54 to $29.02 per hour and includes locality pay of 22.02%, and a retention incentive of 5% of adjusted pay that is unique to this duty location.

This Transportation Security Officer position is located in Transportation Security Administration, Department of Homeland Security (DHS). As a Transportation Security Officer (TSOs) within Security Operations (SO), you will provide security and protection of air travelers, airports and aircraft in a courteous and professional manner. Duties may include but are not limited to:

• Operating various screening equipment and technology to identify dangerous objects in baggage, cargo and on passengers, and preventing those objects from being transported onto aircraft.

As a Transportation Security Inspector, you will be responsible for ensuring security compliance of persons and transportation systems and entities regulated under the Title 49 Code of Federal Regulations (CFR) Part 1500 series. You will perform selected assignments and progressively responsible inspection work such as:

• Conducting less complex inspections or portions of more complex inspections.
• Applying basic technical inspection knowledge acquired in formal core training and on-the-job training (OJT), along with any limited experience gained prior to or after such training.

The Personnel Security Assistant serves as an Assistant to the Personnel Security Specialist and assures that all appointees have the appropriate level of security/suitability clearance commensurate with their assignment. Work assigned is of a very confidential and highly sensitive nature.

Major duties may include, but not limited to:

• Reviews information submitted by the requesting office to validate level of background required, enters appointee information into a local data base tracking system and refers appointee for fingerprinting.
• Enters appropriate data in required databases related to an appointee's suitability from a wide variety of sources.
• Performs audits of official personnel folders to assure that information related to suitability is properly recorded and filed.
• Initiates, reviews and releases appointees background investigations in the Office of Personnel Managements, National Background Investigation Service (NBIS) or in conjunction with the VA- Adjudication Center.
• Regularly monitors the status of specific pending items, compiles data to produce reports, follows up to determine status and records results.
• Takes and transmits electronic fingerprints for appointees or when the Federal Bureau of Investigation (FBI) returns fingerprints unclassifiable for various reasons.
