As a Public Health Advisor you will:

• Lead the development of nationwide program operations and initiatives for assigned operating public health programs.
• Formulate national program and project goals, objectives, operating policies, strategic program plans, guidelines, standards, and priorities.
• Develop and implement strategies and plans for meeting national program objectives.
• Identify and evaluate information, data requirements, and resources to establish priorities and to maintain capacity to respond to internal and external demands.
• Serve as senior level evaluator and conduct complex evaluation studies on operating public health programs.
• Perform analysis and prepare intricate, substantive study reports to cover, at a minimum, study approach and methodologies, findings, and recommendations.
• Perform analysis of collected data and findings and interpret complex legislative, regulatory, and/or policy guidance for use in managing nationwide public health programs.

Starting at $122,198 Per Year (GS 14)

Key Responsibilities:
As part of the Security and Emergency Response Team, the Security Officer will be responsible for the following tasks:
• Security Operations:
o Control access to plant and processing site, ensuring only authorised personnel gain entry.
o Operate Access Control System and adhere to Security Access Control and Induction Procedures.
o Conduct visitor inductions, process visitors onto site, and manage vehicle and bag searches as required.
o Monitor radio communications and CCTV systems.
o Perform foot and vehicle patrols, securing plant areas and reporting vulnerabilities.
o Provide first-response capabilities to site incidents, including traffic management during emergencies or as requested.
o Assist with mustering operations and ensure personnel accountability during emergency evacuations.
o Conduct Drug and Alcohol tests.
o Investigate and report security incidents in a timely and professional manner.
• Emergency Response:
o Respond, treat, and transport casualties in line with site medical protocols.
o Assist with incident management and prepare emergency muster reports.
o Maintain and ensure the readiness of security and emergency response equipment, including fire appliances and first aid facilities.
o Undertake regular emergency response training and drills, in coordination with the Emergency Response Team (ERT).
o Conduct inspections, checks, and basic servicing on-site emergency equipment.
Essential Qualifications:
• Certificate II in Security Operations or a higher qualification
• Current WA Security Licence
• Valid C or HR Class Drivers Licence
• Dangerous Goods Security Card (DGSC)
• Certification for collecting specimens for drugs of abuse testing (or other D&A testing certification)

Desirable Qualifications:
• Current Maritime Security Awareness Card (MSIC)
• Basic Fire Fighting Certificate
• White Card (Construction Induction Card)
• First Aid Certificate

Additional Requirements:
• Must be prepared to undergo a national police check, pre-employment medical assessment, and drug & alcohol screening as part of the selection process.
• Strong interpersonal and communication skills, with the ability to work effectively within a team.
• Willingness to undertake overtime for emergency call-outs and hospital transfers, when required.
• Proficient in Microsoft Office; SAP experience is desirable but not essential.
