Summary:
The primary purpose of this position is to serve as a Branch Chief and Security Cooperation Program Manager within the Security Cooperation Division, providing expert advice in the analysis, planning, development, implementation and review of U.S. Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources in support of HQ USCENTCOM operations and DoD Policies. Serve as the Command's subject matter expert and lead directorate advisor for SA/SC programs and efforts within the Strategy, Plans and Policy Directorate, USCENTCOM J5. Individual will collect, coordinate, evaluate, analyze and interpret SA/SC program information for countries within the USCENTCOM Areas of Responsibility (AOR) and Interest (AOI).
Duties:
- Manages the integration of Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources for the USCENTCOM AOR.
- Leads or participates in conferences or in task groups to development or refine concepts, plans or activities for matters related to Security Assistance and Security Cooperation (SA/SC) programs and resources.
- Assists with the development of budgets for SA/SC programs, resources and activities.
- Interprets and implements local and higher echelon policies and regulations.
- Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities.
