a) School term period

Monday to Thursday: 3.30pm to 7.30pm

Saturday & Sunday: 9.30am to 6.30pm, including a one hour lunch break from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

b) School holiday period

Monday to Thursday: 2.30pm to 6.30pm

Saturday & Sunday: 9.30am to 6.30pm, including a one hour lunch break from 1.30pm to 2.30pm.

REMUNERATION : $2000 - $2200 per month.

We are looking for a Software Engineer Intern who wants to learn about hybrid cloud solutions to join our R&D org.

What you’ll do (Duties and Responsibilities):

• Contribute to all aspects of the deployment and automation process,
including: research, implementation, testing and documentation.
• Participate in monitoring and maintenance of current infrastructure.
• Contribute to a friendly and helpful company culture
• Design, implement, test, and maintain one or more of:
The backend of our cloud security platform, written in Rust, C
• Our Runtime Encryption® software for SGX, written in Rust and C
• Follow security best practices (don’t worry, we’ll tell you what they are)

• Other comparable work from time to time as instructed

What you’ll need (Basic Qualifications)

• Understanding of software security principles, secure software
  development, and best practices for security.
• Familiarity with REST APIs and Javascript technologies like jQuery and ReactJS.
• Must have knowledge in JavaScript, Python, or Go.
• Enrolled in a Bachelors' degree in Computer Science or similar field.
• Strong debugging skills, effective verbal and written communication skills.
• Knowledge in basic cloud architecture.
• Experience with web development in Javascript, HTML, and CSS.
• Experience in software deployment tools such as Kubernetes or
  Docker is a plus.
• Web security experience (XSS, CSRF, CORS, etc.) is a plus, but is not required

Job Description

As a Web Application Intern at Astrome Technologies, you will be responsible for developing applications softwares required for our products. You will play a crucial role in ensuring the seamless integration of web applications with company's product to deliver high-performance solutions.

Responsibilities

• Develop web applications required for our products

• Test, debug, update, and maintain existing code
• Take requirements from business team and implement a solution in a time bound manner

• Prior work experience in developing Web applications.
• Proficiency with frontend technologies such as HTML5/CSS3/Vanilla JavaScript.
• Proficiency with server-side languages, specifically Python.
• Familiarity with database technology such as SQLite, MySQL and PostgreSQL.
• Familiarity with protocols like REST and WebSockets.
• Familiarity with UI development with different CMS and ERP stacks
• Strong understanding of authentication, authorization, and encryption.
• Knowledge of Git, Linux basics, server management using terminal will be a plus

• Hands-on experience in C, C++ or System Verilog programming for wireless baseband design.
• Participate in the architecture definition, implementation, and test plan development.
• Develop and implement RTL level blocks, perform synthesis, implement on FPGAs and resolve timing violations.
• Coordinate with the Software and Hardware team to identify the system issues and resolve the same.

Required skills:

• Strong base in programming in C, C++ or SystemVerilog
• Basic understanding in Xilinx FPGA Architecture and tools like Vivado.
• Good understanding in digital signal processing techniques such as Fast Fourier Transform, and good handle on linear algebra and complex algebra is a plus.
• Good understanding in realization of baseband for wireless systems such as OFDM is a plus.
• Ability to research unfamiliar technologies and methods for application in our product development and support.
• Ability to understand and follow engineering processes such as JIRA and version control (Git).
