Role Responsibilities:
Staffing and Recruitment
Interviewing applicants to determine their suitability to the job requirements for particular positions, assisting site departments in finding suitable staff.
Arranging advertising job vacancies, conducting interviews, testing applicants, booking preemployment medicals, and selecting staff.
Developing and loading job adverts to the HRIS (Human Resource Information System) for effective recruitment.
Receiving and recording job vacancy information from the departments, such as job descriptions, wages and conditions of employment.
Providing information to management, work areas and job seekers on current job vacancies within the organization.
Staff Induction and Development
Arranging the induction of new staff, and providing essential information on conditions of service, salaries and promotional opportunities.
Providing advice and information to management on workplace relations policies, staff performance, and disciplinary matters.
Overseeing the formation and conduct of workplace consultative committees and employee participation initiatives.
Employee Relations and Conflict Resolution
Undertaking negotiations on terms and conditions of employment and resolving disputes and grievances, offering practical guidance on conflict resolution.
Assisting with advice on workplace relations, including staff performance and handling disciplinary matters.
Positively fostering and promoting a performance-based and collaborative culture, helping to drive organizational success and engagement.
Providing in-house training and workshops to assist staff in understanding HR requirements and ensure ongoing learning and development.
Skills/Competencies:
Tertiary qualification relevant to Human Resources or relevant and extensive experience;
Familiarity with the structure of Modern Awards, with the ability to locate concise and accurate information within;
Demonstrated experience managing multiple competing priorities;
Effective problem solving, organisational, and time management skills;
Well-developed oral and written interpersonal communication skills;
Current and Unencumbered Class C Drivers Licence;
Developed computer literacy with Human Resources Information Systems;
Demonstrated ability to work autonomously and within a team environment;
Takes other's perspective's into consideration;
Must be energetic, passionate, and enthusiastic with a demonstrated focus on system improvement;
Makes self fully available as required.
Job Types: Full-time, Permanent
Pay: $70,000.00 – $85,000.00 per year
