Clinical Care
· Work under supervision of Nursing Officer to analyse, plan, implement and evaluate nursing care for clients. Co ordinate and implement care plan for the clients.
· Pack and serve medication and update of in-patient medical records, sign IMR upon serving.
· Conduct rounds to ensure clients are well and safe and report any abnormality for immediate/tii1nely treatment and follow up with nursing supervisor.
· Assist in Doctor's rounds and in treatments and examinations of clients including perform blood taking and vaccination.
· Identify problems related to illness and decline in functional, cognitive abilities and advocate early medical attention.
· Be familiar with all aspects of nursing care and emergency evacuation procedures so as to be able to attend to emergencies that may arise.
Quality
· Assist and supervise activities and rehabilitation programmes to enhance the quality of life for clients.
· Maintain systematic inventory control of drugs in wards/out-patient stocks and all assets acquired in order to achieve optimal utilization and safe storage.
· Practise proper decontamination procedure and infection control, and ensure safe custody of clients.
· Promote effective and co-operative working relationships in an interdisciplinary team within the unit and with all the internal and external customer groups to deliver quality service to patients, relatives and visitors. Utilise good communication skills to develop and maintain productive relationships within unit, with other departments, disciplines agencies and the public.
· Participate in MDR rounds, QA programmes, organisational committees, workgroups activities.
· Ensure compliance with existing standard operating procedures.
· Update and tract records of RAF for residents. (On admission,2 weeks after admission, 6 monthly and when resident condition changed.)
Training & Development
· Supervise and guide subordinates (EN/NNHCA) in their duties. Evaluate and discipline the performance of all staff within scope of responsibility.
· Educate, train and supervise patients, families and caregivers. Provide health education to clients and families.
· Orientate recruit/s of professional and non-professional nursing personnel in the respective area/s.
Administration
· Assess and determine suitability of client referrals (means testing) through initial screening, conduct full assessment on admission and periodically review nursing care plans and documentation.
· Update all nursing records and reports.
· Ensure all documentation of clients' care management is maintained and filed accordingly.
· Ensure safe storage of all confidential records and documents and that clients' confidentiality is maintained at all times.
· Ensure equipments are in proper working condition.
Education level: Degree in Nursing or its equivalent
Experience level: above 2 years
