Nursing Assistant (NA) CLC is a member of the nursing care team and assist licensed nursing staff in the care of patients/residents receiving outpatient care, home, or community living care, or other patients/residents who are in acute, sub-acute or chronic states of illness. The distinguishing factor is that patient/resident assignments typically involve more complex nursing needs which can vary within a range of predictable to unpredictable requirements. The CLC Nursing Assistant at this level also assume more of a peer education/mentorship role by assisting with the coordination of new NA orientation and overseeing/assessing their practical experience while in a clinical setting. The duties for the Community Living Center Nursing Assistant include but not limited to:

• Plans, organizes, and prioritizes assigned workload.
• Assists providers and nurses in the performance of diagnostic examinations or procedures such as vital sign monitoring, obtaining weight and height, preparing/positioning Veterans.
• Records basic data and patient responses, reporting significant changes to the RN.

The Program Assistant serves as the resource person for intermediate level data analysis and administrative leadership and coordination in the development, implementation, evaluation, interpretation, revision, and when necessary, corrective actions for many applicable administrative functions, activities, operations and services for the Office of Chief of Staff.

The Advanced Medical Support Assistant duties consist of but are not limited to the following:
