We are looking for an enthusiastic and highly motivated operational manager to join our busy gynaecology team as a Service Delivery Manager.

The post holder will be joining a diverse multipdisciplinary team of clinicians and operational collegues.

The successful candidate will take a leading role in the day-to-day management of the clinics, including the new Single Point of Access, ensuring there are robust processes in place that enable clinic slots to be booked to optimum utilisation so that there are minimal DNA’s and cancellations and the correct patients are booked into each clinic.

The post holder will work closely with operational and clinical leads from the gynecological team, and will play a key part in supporting these teams to embed improved clinical pathways and service redesign initiatives in line with their clinical strategy.
You will be responsible for ensuring there are clear and transparent measures of success within the team, and for developing lines of communication both within the team and out into the organization that support effective dissemination of information and escalation.
You will line manage a Women’s Health Hub administrator, holding them accountable for meeting personal objectives and local and national targets, as well as supporting and nurturing them to develop their capabilities.

Your primary base will be the gynaecology offices in Whipps Cross Hospital. However, there is also flexibility for you to work from home where appropriate.

The Service Delivery Manager is responsible to the Project Manager for the overall performance of all aspects of the Single Point of Access and clinic management for the Women’s Health Hub. This position will be responsible for the day-to-day clinic management of these services to ensure that all patients are booked in accordance to the Trust Patient Access Policy.

The post holder will support the clinical teams to develop their services in accordance to their clinical strategy, ensuring efficient management of Women’s Health Hub clinics and wider gynaecology outpatient appointments. This will include Consultants, senior nursing and operational colleagues.

The post holder will be responsible for establishing and monitoring clear and transparent measures of success (KPIs) for the outpatient services, such as ensuring optimal utilization of clinics, reducing cancellations and decreasing the DNA rate whilst also ensuring a good patient experience that is safe and adheres to national and Trust guidelines.

Job Summary: To provide a high-quality, advanced, expert nursing and cost-effective service to patients referred to the Centre for Active Lifestyle Management (CALM) Service. This comprises a multi-professional team (Psychology, Physiotherapy and Nursing) who work with patients with chronic pain to help them improve their quality of life. The Division aims to provide an environment conducive to the on-going development of all staff and advancements in the quality of the service by ensuring provision of a high standard of training, teaching and clinical care. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be an advanced and experienced practitioner within the field of chronic pain and they will be expected to provide clinical support, working independently or assisting with multi-professional interventions in which full training has been undertaken based on clinical practice standards. The role of Clinical Nurse Specialist requires a high degree of personal and professional autonomy in making clinical judgements. Taking sole and joint responsibility as appropriate for patients during their time in the care of the CALM service to ensure a successful patient-based outcome, which will require assessment, planning and implementation of treatment. The Clinical Nurse Specialist will be required to give advice and guidance to other health professionals regarding chronic pain interventions and clinical practice. They will be responsible for the nursing leadership within the CALM service, giving support and guidance within the multidisciplinary team and contributing to the high-quality care given to patients in accordance with clinical governance. The postholder will ensure the delivery and expansion of an expert and advanced nursing service through effective interdisciplinary care, utilising clinical and managerial expertise. The Bromley Occupational Therapy Team is looking for a Senior Occupational Therapist to join our dedicated team over the winter period. This role involves working within a hybrid model to provide essential Occupational Therapy assessments, interventions, and support to residents of Bromley, with a focus on maximizing client independence and facilitating safe hospital discharges. The successful candidate will conduct assessments in client homes, deliver equipment recommendations, and provide tailored advice to improve mobility, safety, and independence for Bromley residents.

Key Responsibilities:

RESPONSIBILITY FOR FINANCIAL AND PHYSICAL RESOURCES 4.1 Collaborate with pharmancy and clinical team to ensure appropriate funding approvals in place regarding high cost/biological drugs 4.2 Actively manage resources including staffing, material and financial (budgetary). This will also include regular review of skill mix and use of temporary staff 4.3 Support the divisional team in the development and implementation of the annual cost improvement programme in accordance with the trust targets and timetable 4.4 Alongside clinical lead and divisional leadership develop business plans to support service development 5. RESPONSIBILITY FOR LEADING AND MANAGING 5.1 Ensures all staff have access to, and act within, trust /departmental policies and procedures 5.2 Directly line manage the CNS team using trusts HR policies and procedures. Agree/undertake annual objectives, performance appraisals, manage clinical performance and sickness absence 5.3 Lead in the future planning of the strategic development of the rheumatology nursing service 5.4 Lead in the development of advanced skills and competencies for nurses in specialist practice 5.5 Represent the CNSs nursing perspective at appropriate groups/committees both internally and externally. 5.6 Resolve complaints as they arise through communication as necessary, and when appropriate, investigate complaints relevant to remit and write responses. Liaises with the senior Matron/Head of Nursing to bring to their attention any problems identified 5.7 Lead the CNS team in the development and dissemination of pertinent written patient information within the rheumatology speciality, working in collaboration with the MDT team and wider national networks 5.8 Work closely alongside other lead nurses in specialist practice within the trust to support those in advanced nursing roles within the division and trust 5.9 Continually assess and monitor risk in own and others practice and challenge poor practice 5.10 Exercise leadership and inspire colleagues, to improve standards and quality and develop professional practice 5.11 Demonstrate the ability to manage stressful and conflicting situations professionally, as they arise 6.
