As a Health Scientist (Child Well-Being Program), GS-0601-13, your typical work assignments may include:
- As a health science expert, works as part of a team coordinating care for a large population or group, with focus on pediatric populations in the care of DHS. Provides oversight, consultation, negotiation with other departments and in quality improvement functions and operations.
- Supports the day-to-day management of the contracted CWB Specialists and Lead Specialists, including coordinating with DHS components in the field, and facilitates needed information sharing between contracted CWB Specialists/Lead Specialists and the CWB Program Manager.
- In coordination with the CWB Federal Staff cohort, the CWB Program Manager, and the appropriate DHS component points of contact, assigns contracted CWB Specialists to field locations within the sector based on environmental circumstances and factors.
- Conducts regular oversight meetings with the contracted CWB Lead Specialists overseen to discuss key trends and provide programmatic, clinical and professional development.
