DUTIES

Your duties as an Assistant Chef will include:

• Assist in all daily kitchen duties and report any defects, risks, or near-miss incidents immediately

• Support the kitchen and food & beverage teams by keeping all kitchen areas clean and ensuring crockery and cutlery are prepared for service

• Prepare various types of food or pack meals as required, ensuring adherence to kitchen standards and requirements

• Collaborate with the Chef Manager and kitchen team to ensure smooth daily operations and prompt, professional service

• Perform thorough cleaning, stock management, and waste removal while complying with health, safety, and food hygiene regulations

Shifts on rotation plus paid overtime
As a Catering Hospitality Assistant, you will play a vital role in ensuring the smooth and efficient operation of our catering services. Your primary responsibility will be to provide exceptional customer service and support to our clients and guests during various meetings/ events and functions. Ensuring meeting/event rooms are set up to the required specification and food and drinks are provided in a professional and timely fashion.

Provide friendly and professional customer service to clients and guests, ensuring their needs are met and their expectations are exceeded.

Assist with the setup and arrangement of event venues, including tables, chairs, decorations, and other equipment, as per the client's requirements.

Help with the preparation, presentation, and service of food and beverages during meeting/events, ensuring high-quality standards are maintained.

Work closely with the catering team to coordinate meeting/event logistics, ensuring all aspects of the catering service are executed smoothly and efficiently.

Maintain cleanliness and hygiene standards in the food preparation and service areas, adhering to health and safety regulations.

Assist with inventory control, including monitoring stock levels, replenishing supplies, and reporting any discrepancies or shortages.

Respond promptly and courteously to guest inquiries, requests, and concerns, providing necessary information and resolving issues in a professional manner.

Collaborate effectively with the catering team, kitchen staff, and other departments to ensure seamless coordination and delivery of services.

Assist with post-meeting/event cleanup tasks, including the removal of waste, packing equipment, and returning the venue to its original state.

Attend all location management meetings as required

Take responsibility for contributing towards your own development with the guidance of the Hospitality Manager / General Manager and attend training courses as identified

Junior NPD Chef
- Camden, London
As a junior NPD Chef, your responsibilities include assisting in food preparation, maintaining kitchen cleanliness, and supporting the culinary team. You execute tasks according to recipes and standards, ensuring a smooth kitchen operation while learning and honing culinary skills under the guidance of experienced chefs.

You will:

- Ensure the Jamestown kitchen is kept clean and well-maintained
- Receive and store all items ordered for the kitchen
- Cook and prepare food as per senior NPD chef’s instructions
- Support food tastings and presentations
- Prepare and serve food for internal events and hospitality
- Order food items for photo shoots, then box them up for transportation
- Maintain a clean and orderly appearance in line with brand and legal standards
- Assist colleagues, promote teamwork, and communicate openly
- Adhere to Food Safety and Health and Safety standards
- Assist in training new team members
- Support new unit openings when required

Job Description

• Monitoring and serving all food and drinks to customers/clients/guest and clearing throughout the event.
• Prepare all hospitality food and beverage requests offered to customers/clients/guest in designated meeting spaces in a presentable manner.
• To be able to work without supervision and take initiative over duties and tasks without being directed.
• To serve our guests with the highest level of customer service with maximum speed, efficiency and always with a smile.
• To be able to use coffee machines
• Assist with the ordering and deliveries as required
• Preparation of all hospitality requirements ensuring all items are available and if not reporting this to your line manager
• Ensuring that any linen hired, and equipment hired for an event is counted and packed away for collection after the event.
• Ensuring hospitality rooms are left clean and tidy
