Indian Cuisine Chef - Tandoori & Curry
Sultans Kitchen Paddington is looking for an experienced Chef
with curry and Tandoori Skills to be part of a dynamic and busy kitchen
in a restaurant that has been on top of its game for over 37 years.
Job Description
This position requires both lunch (tour groups) and dinner service 7 days a week.
The chef has to prepare the basic sauces required for the curry menu and the marinade for the Tandoori items and preparation of the Naan dough is required.
For Dinner service the chef has to service the Tandoori items on the menu and in the quieter days double up and service the curry menu.
Menu innovation is highly desired.
The position also requires the successful applicant to be well versed in kitchen health and hygiene as we wish to maintain our high star rating.
Skills and experience
The successful applicant has to have at least 2 years experience in a successful commercial kitchen.
Formal Australian commercial cookery qualifications is imperative.
Salary
Annual salary package will range between $65,000 and $75,000 depending on experience.
You will be required to work 37 hours a week and any hours beyond that you'll be paid overtime. Holiday and other entitlements as per award.
Broken shifts are part and parcel of the job as we do both lunch and dinner service.
