Job Description:
A vacancy for several Digitalization & Design Integration Engineers (d/f/m) has arisen within Airbus (Commercial Aircraft) in Hamburg Finkenwerder at the earliest possible start date. You will join our Cabin & Cargo (C&C) Digital Mock-Up & Integration department.
We are a team of 30 diverse engineers working internationally on A350/A320/A321/A330 cabin digitalization and design integration themes. As our new team member, we welcome you to join us in progressing on interesting and challenging projects as well as contributing to our digital future.
Our main responsibility is to ensure continuous improvement of the cabin customization process. This starts from the customer definition of an airplane until the aircraft is in service.
What will be your new challenge?
You will:
Secure the on-time & on-quality 3D-Design by:
Organizing and performing Digital Mock-Up design reviews,
Planning and conducting integration checks,
Leading the technical arbitration between different design partners and pushing resolution of design conflicts,
Performing special investigations on early Customer (internal/external) request,
Generating periodic KPI analysis and proposing recovery plans.
Standardize and optimization the status quo by:
Driving streamlined working methods in the 3D C&C integration context,
Defining and maintaining the content of standardized new development platforms as a target reference.
Expedite the Digitalization of DMU tools and processes by:
Using data analytics and machine learning to increase efficiency in the end-to-end customization process,
Defining and develop applications in order to automate activities securing further improvements and robustness of customization design.

… are educated to a degree level in Aerospace Engineering, Mechanical Engineering, Electrical Engineering or equivalent,
… have working experience in design integration of systems and modules, ideally within the aircraft environment, respectively automotive, shipbuilding,
… are professionally experienced in project management while using Agile SAFE Framework and agile working methods, preferably within international projects,
… bring several years of professional experience with CAD and visualization tools such as CATIA or TREND,
… have a structured, while showing an autonomous and proactive, way of working combined with creativity,
… are highly engaged, team-oriented and open-minded with strong communication skills,
… have a structured, creative, autonomous and proactive working style,
bring English at a negotiation level and your German is at intermediate level. French would be a plus.
