What are we looking for?
We are seeking an aspiring, analytical, commercially minded finance professional to manage both the financial routines and obligations as well as to shape up the finance partnering capability to the next level. This is a valuable growth opportunity for the driven practitioners, acting in the capacity of Finance Business Partner, who will get day-to-day fundamentals covered such as timely and accurate financial reporting and reconciliations, financial analysis and planning, audit and compliance, but will also help set new grounds to support the business to grow.
This role reports to Chief Operating & Finance Officer.
Core Responsibilities:
- Manage all administrative and financial tasks including invoicing, reconciliation, managing procurement processes, filing tax returns and reports required by regulatory authorities
- Prepare financial forecasts, budget, analysis and insights to support business decision-making
- Prepare financial reporting and investor reporting, provide accurate and timely financial information to stakeholders
- Monitor and manage financial and corporate administrative tasks related to 4 entities in Singapore, Netherlands and UK
- Estimate short and longer term financial objectives by setting performance targets
- Evaluate the financial performance of the organisation and measure returns on investments
- Collaborate with cross-functional teams to optimise financial operations, and resolve issues when needed
- Assist with ad-hoc projects and tasks as assigned
- Minimum 5 year of experience in Accounting or Finance roles
- Strong understanding of accounting and financial standards and practices. Audit background would be preferred
- Strong knowledge of financial planning, budgeting and forecasting
- Demonstrated experience in managing multi-currency books
- Proficient in Excel, and willing to learn new systems/ tools (eg Xero, Metabase) when required
- Highly organised with strong attention to detail, resounding analytical and problem-solving skills
- Strong commercial and organisational acumen
- Ability to communicate effectively with people at all levels internally and externally
- Ability to work independently and as a team member
- Excellent verbal and written English communication skills
- Possess professional certification (eg CFA, CPA)
- Experience working in a globally distributed start-up or high-growth environment
