As a Finance Intern, you’ll assist in reconciling accounts, clearing outstanding balances, and raising journal entries. You’ll also coordinate with departments to ensure compliance and handle additional tasks as assigned, gaining practical accounting experience.

Job Responsibilities:

• Assist in clearing outstanding balances for our Agency, direct client, and corporate client accounts.
• Helped reconcile accounts for our agency, direct client, and corporate client business.
• Learn to raise journal entries and match transactions accurately.
• Follow up and communicate with various departments to ensure compliance and submission are all in order
• Any ad hoc tasks assigned by the supervisor

Requirements:

• Pursuing a degree in finance, accounting, or a related field.
• Proficient in Microsoft Excel and basic knowledge of using formulas.
• Strong attention to detail and ability to work with numbers.
• Excellent communication skills and a willingness to learn.
• Ability to work effectively in a team environment
• Good communication skills in the English language for both spoken and written.

A DAY IN A LIFE

As a start up, you can expect your days to be pretty varied. Multitasking is normal, and sometimes, your skills or natural talents will be leveraged to support other business priorities. That said, the bulk of your working hours should involve you having to:

• Work closely on compiling data from all key stakeholders (business and operations team) for
• Weekly forecasting
• Performing variance analysis Actual Vs Budget
• Assist in preparing financial presentations

These are minimum-requirement skills and a ‘must-have’ for the role:

• Strong financial knowledge and technical fluency.
• Ability to work independently and thrive under pressure.
• Is a speedster and fast thinker – able to solve problems on-the-go and adapt quickly.
• A team player, willing to multitask where additional help is required and communicate well with the team members.
• Familiarity with Microsoft Office, Google Suite (Docs, Sheets, and Slides), and other useful financial software is a plus.
• Has/pursuing a degree in Accounting / Finance or Professional Accountancy Qualification (eg: ACCA/CPA Australia/MICPA, ICAEW)
• Fluency in English and at least another local language is a plus
