Role Overview: We are seeking a highly technical Application Support Engineer to join the Application Support team to work under the Prime Services - Securities Lending and Borrowing function. This role combines application support and Rapid Application Development (RAD), and the ideal candidate will play a pivotal role in ensuring the smooth operation of our proprietary applications while also contributing to the development and enhancement of these applications. This position offers an exciting opportunity to work at the intersection of finance and technology and contribute to the success of our securities lending operations. Key Responsibilities: Provide advanced technical support for our proprietary applications used in securities lending and borrowing. Collaborate with traders, operations teams, and developers to diagnose and resolve complex application-related issues. Monitor the stability, performance, and availability of applications, proactively identifying and addressing potential issues. Develop, maintain, and optimize SQL queries to extract data and generate reports for business and operational needs. Develop and maintain scripts in C#, PowerShell, and other relevant technologies to automate routine tasks, troubleshoot issues, and improve system efficiency. Participate in the Rapid Application Development (RAD) process, contributing to the design, development, and testing of new application features and enhancements. Troubleshoot application errors, participate in debugging and resolving technical issues, and provide technical guidance to the team. Document support procedures, workflows, and best practices. Ensure compliance with internal and external regulations and security policies. Collaborate with technology and business teams to implement enhancements and improvements to the applications. Participate in on-call support rotation for critical issue resolution. Qualifications: Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field (or equivalent work experience). Proven experience in advanced application support and RAD, preferably in the financial services industry, with a focus on securities lending and borrowing. Strong technical proficiency in SQL for data retrieval and manipulation. Excellent scripting skills in C# and PowerShell for task automation, debugging, and application development. Strong problem-solving and analytical skills. Knowledge of financial instruments, trading processes, and market data is a plus. Ability to work effectively in a fast-paced, dynamic environment and adapt to changing priorities. Strong communication skills and a collaborative mindset.
