As Credit Control Team Member you will be accountable for:

Role Specific

Purpose of Role:

We are looking to appoint a Credit Control Team Leader to enable the continued development and maximisation of performance of the credit control department.

The purpose of this role is to meet defined targets and deliver continuous improvements in performance and quality.

The role will be required to achieve performance targets set by the Finance Manager and CFO. Our credit control team consists of 3 credit controllers managing the cash collections and invoice support processes to enable the efficient management of our ledger.

Your key duties will be:

• Leading from the front, you will be responsible for a designated sales ledger
• Managing a team of 3 Credit Controllers
• Acting as an initial escalation point for a team of Credit Controllers
• Responsible for developing the skills of the Credit Controllers including monitoring, mentoring and motivating to deliver optimum performance
• Performing regular ledger reviews with the Credit Controllers, including identifying areas of concern and account trends
• Performance management of the team keeping the Finance Manager updated with progress

Skills and experience you will have:

• At least 3 years’ previous experience in a Team Leader position or similar role, preferably within the Education sector
• Prior experience of staff management
• Knowledge of Sage systems is desirable
• To have strong Excel skills with the ability to manipulate data and present it well; experience of pivot tables and vlookups is an advantage
• A proven track record of resolving queries and meeting targets

Job Responsibilities:

· Report to Financial Controller who is a qualified CPA / Chartered Accountant

· Execute the company’s inventory policy

· Manage the company’s inventory system including stock profiles and locations

· Churning of necessary daily and weekly Inventory/Purchasing reports

· Ensure incoming goods are receipted and managed appropriately in Finance aspect

· Review historical data to build timely forecasts for assigned markets

· Responsible for planning periodic stock checks via audit work and stock takes

· Perform reconciliation or audit after physical counts and liaise with business units to rectify variance

· Monitor inventory stock -cards and systems to maintain safety stock level to avoid ‘’out-of-stock’’ situations

· Audit check on stock flow accuracy

· Timely update stock movement in physical stock-card and inventory system

· Check on supplier invoices

· Assist in other financial matters

Qualifications and Requirements:

• Minimum Bachelor's degree in Business, Analytics, Accounting, Finance, or a related field
• Good in planning and organizing work flow, with strong in numeracy, analytical and good interpersonal and communication skills
• Enjoy working in fast-paced and dynamic environment independently
• Diligent in checking work to ensure no errors before submitting to superiors for review
• A multi-tasker and learner with self-motivation and sensitive with figures
• Comfortable with computerized data processing and able to comprehend tables and spreadsheet templates

• Familiarity with accounts payable processes and administration

Responsibilities:

• Organize and conduct regular credit & AR review meetings with BUs / sales departments to close out all delinquent accounts
• Follow up and communicate with customers
• Review and process new customer account applications
• Maintain and update particulars and credit limits of customer accounts in SAP
• Monitor daily sales transactions for credit holds in SAP and communicate with sales department to address overdue issues
• Disseminate or circulate invoices, statements of accounts, reminder and confirmation letters
• Perform customer account reconciliations and confirmations
• Prepare regular collections and AR status reports for management and for HQ
• Liaise with insurer and apply for trade credit insurance for customer accounts with credit terms
• Liaise with banks in respect of bank guarantees including but not limited to letters of credit
• Check supporting documents to carry out billings to customers
• Any other adhoc duties assigned by Senior Financial Controller/ Assistant Manager

Requirements:

• At least 2-year relevant working experience
• Proficient in MS software including Outlook, Word, Excel and PowerPoint
