• Performs professional aerospace engineering work involved in the application of advanced theories, concepts, principles, and processes to the acquisition, development, or sustainment of weapon systems, subsystems, and/or support equipment.
• Functions as the organization's technical specialist in design and development engineering for critical systems and subsystems through the evaluating technological trends and formulates overall design concepts and criteria to establish the baseline for state-of-the-art engineering developments.
• Performs complex and comprehensive analysis, disciplined, quantifiable approaches to implement, develop, and document projects.
• Serves as a consultant and technical expert to senior subject matter specialists, agency and/or Department of Defense (DoD) officials responsible for broad program operations.
• Exercises supervisory personnel management responsibilities at least 25% of the time to include planning work for subordinates, setting and adjusting short/long-term priorities, prepares schedules for completion of work, and evaluates employee performance.

• Applies extensive knowledge of industrial engineering processes to perform long-range pre-production planning for prime and support workload requirements relevant to depot maintenance.
• Develops/revises standards including labor, material, equipment and facilities for operations cards, labor, and material standards necessary for documentation of work requirements on engine workload and subsequent analysis for refinement.
• Determines the impact of proposed workload changes by planning acceleration or deceleration of production schedules.
• Attends provisioning conferences for material and equipment.
