The Merchandising Executive implements the merchandising plans and product category strategies as well as managing partner relationships. He/she also contributes to the development and sourcing of products in accordance with allocated budgets. The Merchandising Executive works in a dynamic environment where he/she keeps abreast of the changing consumer behaviour and merchandising trends. The Merchandising Executive is an energetic, creative, collaborative, and adaptable individual. He/she can operate well in a team-based environment under pressure and possesses in-depth insights on consumer consumption.
KEY ROLES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:
· Administer purchase orders and payment process.
· Analyse cost of merchandise.
· Analyse customers' feedback on product categories.
· Analyse information on business environment and merchandising landscape.
· Analyse information on shoppers' profile.
· Analyse product sales, stock turnover rate and inventory level.
· Consolidate information to forecast merchandise demand.
· Contribute to new product design blueprints or mock-ups.
· Coordinate the development of patterns or mock-ups for new product designs.
· Coordinate the production of new products.
· Design and guide the development of shopper marketing collateral.
· Engage in service innovation initiatives.
· Implement product category's private label's and/or house brand's product range and assortment plans, pricing and promotional plans.
· Measure effectiveness of change in visual merchandising displays.
ADDITIONAL INFORMATION:
- Degree or Diploma in Business Administration or Finance & Accounting or equivalent
- Minimum 3 years of progressive experience in merchandising in a sizeable company in a consumer or engineering industry
- Pleasant, eloquent with excellent communication skills
- Strong business acumen to partner with the sales/commercial teams to drive business profitability
