Energy Systems Engineer
The Opportunity:
As an energy engineer, you understand the workings behind complex systems. That knowledge is key when it comes to supporting a team conducting reliability analyses on distribution systems on military installations. We’re looking for an energy engineer with experience in Federal or Defense facilities who can use their skills to transform how the Department of Defense (DoD) views energy resiliency, and how energy projects are completed with traditional military construction.
At Booz Allen, you’ll use your skills to modernize the services' installation energy portfolio. Our team is responsible for delivering energy resilience solutions, including carbon-free technology, to help the military move towards energy independence for its installations. That’s why we need you, an organized energy engineer with excellent technical and verbal communication skills to help develop a new tool for the DoD to use to quantify its energy resilience.
On our team, you’ll use your technical knowledge to deliver final written products to our clients and using your experience with site visits and mission owner interviews, you'll gather information for any potential resilience gaps in the system. You’ll directly impact the area of installation energy, which is defined as energy used by facilities and their supporting infrastructure. We’ll look to you to share your technical expertise through collaboration with a team of project engineers, power systems engineers, and electrical and reliability engineers. This is a chance to use your experience-based knowledge in energy engineering while broadening your skillset into areas like renewable energy systems and microgrid design.
Take on exciting challenges in the DoD with us as we support the military in achieving its energy resilience goals by delivering state-of-the-art energy solutions.
