Job Overview:

We are looking for a Technical Engineer cum Driver to join our team at LIPCO FOOD &BEVERAGES Pte Ltd. This hybrid role will require you to apply technical expertise to maintain and troubleshoot equipment within the food manufacturing process, while also handling driving responsibilities to transport goods between various locations. The ideal candidate should be flexible, hands-on, and capable of balancing both technical engineering tasks and driving duties.

Key Responsibilities:

Technical Engineer Responsibilities:

1. Maintenance & Troubleshooting:Perform routine maintenance and inspections of manufacturing equipment, machinery, and systems to ensure smooth operation.
   Identify and diagnose mechanical or electrical faults, and take appropriate action to resolve issues promptly.
   Carry out repairs and adjustments to machinery as needed to minimize downtime.
   Collaborate with the engineering team to develop and implement preventive maintenance schedules.
   
2. Installation & Setup:Assist in the installation, testing, and commissioning of new machinery and systems as required.
   Ensure the proper setup and calibration of machines according to the food manufacturing specifications and safety standards.
   
3. Technical Support:Provide on-the-spot technical support to production staff for machinery-related issues.
   Ensure compliance with safety, quality, and environmental regulations during maintenance work.
   Keep accurate records of maintenance activities, parts used, and time spent on repairs.
   
4. Equipment Improvement:Suggest and implement improvements in the manufacturing process to increase efficiency and reduce downtime.
   Work closely with the production team to ensure machinery is operating at optimal performance.
   

Driver Responsibilities:

1. Transportation of Goods:Safely operate company vehicles to transport raw materials, finished products, and supplies to and from suppliers, warehouses, or customers.
   Ensure timely deliveries and pickups, coordinating with the logistics team for route planning.
   
2. Vehicle Maintenance & Safety:Ensure the vehicle is regularly maintained, clean, and in good working condition.
   Conduct pre-trip and post-trip vehicle inspections, reporting any issues to the management team.
   Maintain accurate records of vehicle logs, fuel usage, and delivery schedules.
   
3. Staff Transportation:Transport company staff or management to various locations as needed.
   Ensure the safety and comfort of passengers during transit.
   

EHS Area:

• To conduct safety briefing to new employee/ contractors/ vendor/ Visitors
• To conduct regular safety talks to each shift team
• Support development and implementation of EHS policies
• To Promote safety initiatives and enhance safety culture in Singapore Operations
• Conduct risk assessment, job hazard analysis etc and enforce safe management measures.
• Perform ongoing inspection and safe management measures to identify non-conformity (e.g. not using protective equipment)
• Coordinate audit related matters and maintain safety documentations.
• Facilitate and carry out monthly EHS Committee meetings
• Maintain compliance and updates on new WSH regulations.
• To collect data the support EHS or Sustainability monthly report/ project etc
• Continue enhance on current EHS or Sustainability guidelines for SG Operations
• Coordinate Permit to Work System for plant operations and ensure contractors are fully inducted onto sites and comply with standards
• Oversee workplace repair, installations and any other work that could have potential risk to safety
• Verifies that all tools and equipment are adequate and safe for use.
• Register and investigate WSH incidents and provide statistical information.
• Conduct safety briefings and trainings according to plans or as and when required
• Carry out drills and exercises on emergency management.
• Arrange for OSHA mandated testing and/or evaluations of the workplace by external agencies/consultants.
• Other duties as assigned

Security Area:

• Incharge of the proxy click system and ensure all visitors are registered.
• Work closely with area owners to investigate and act immediately on all disciplinary offences.

Facility Area:

• To coordinate with the landlord (YHS) and all other contractors/ vendors as required to properly maintain and manage the local facilities at L10 manufacturing and L2 office area.
• To conduct routine checks and supervise minor repairs/ replacement works with contractors as part of the safety act.
• To work closely with L10 and L2 area owner regarding facility maintenance work

About You:

• Degree/ Diploma in Engineering or related equivalent
• Minimum 5 - 10 years of relevant experience in SHE management or similar
• Strong understanding on local legislations and procedures related to SHE
• Very good understanding of the SHE system
• Demonstrable following experiences:
• Experience with establishing SHE policy & procedure
• Excellent knowledge of potentially hazardous material and practices
• Hazard and risk management
• Emergency preparedness
• Experience in performance analysis, reporting and investigation
• Behavioural auditing
• Proficient in MS office application
• Enjoy problem solving, analytical and a good team player
• Strong communication skills, organized and good interpersonal skills
• To be based in Senoko
• 5 days work week, 8:30am to 5:30pm

Responsibilities:

• Progress and support the delivery of Regional, Country & Site SHE Management Systems, H&S Road Maps and/or Action Plans as relevant to their site.
• Support site management in meeting their health and safety responsibilities, and in delivering a safe working environment across their sites.
• Monitor site compliance against both local legislation and/or site standards, particularly with regards to safety critical equipment and systems, ensuring any non-compliance is both reported and actioned.
• Liaise with the relevant Regional H&S Manager.
• Ensuring all relevant site data for monthly, annual and/or interim reports is submitted, including progress against any relevant actions i.e., as a result of an internal or external audit.
• Agree and implement site audit schedules, ensuring critical risks such as confined space entry, working at height, working with electricity, fire and explosion, are adequately controlled as a priority.
• Create strategy for employee engagement in SHE, including frequent interactions with the team about SHE, solicit their concerns, ideas, and challenges, and respond to employee concerns related to EHS.
• Create SHE framework strategy and proactively assist SHE framework element champions with assessment and implementation.
• Identify SHE issues and work with a team to pursue solutions, escalating issues to leadership as required.
• Communicate to internal customers and regulators about SHE MS system and compliance requirements.
• Drive incident reporting and investigation process at site, support leadership on comprehensive root cause analysis and action plans, track all CAPA completion.
• Maintain compliance and enhance policy, procedure, and related documentation for functional areas to describe standard work, best practices, and lessons learned.
• Support Risk assessment and SOP process.
• Support Site Management and the Regional H&S Manager in identifying and addressing H&S training and capability requirements.
• Facilitate, assist, and inform the site SHE committee.
• Monitoring all safety equipment and emergency equipment are in good condition.

About You:

• Food industry experience is preferred.
• Bachelor’s degree in safety, environment or equivalent engineering.
• At least 5 years SHE related working experience as site SHE leader.
• Local formal qualification in SHE or relevant experience
• Be familiar with local SHE laws, regulations, and standards.
• Auditing qualification and/or relevant experience will be preferred.
• Good communication and SHE management skill, good team player in a cross-functional team, demonstrated ability to analyze and resolve problems
• Language requirements: English and Mandarin is a must.
• Good organization skill to promote SHE activities and awareness of distributed teams.

Job Scope:

Assistant Engineer

• Perform servicing, maintenance, and troubleshooting on equipment and system the at site
• Ensure the equipment is functionality
• Involve of Installation work for machine
• Partner with other technicians and engineer to perform daily operation
• Respond and attend to fault calls from client
• Ensure Timely check the equipment to ensure they are in workable condition
• Planning and undertaking scheduled maintenance

Requirement

• Possess at least NITEC and relevant field
• 2 years relevant experiences will be advantage
