Responsibilities:

• Senior Process Engineer II (NPI) scope of work includes setting up manufacturing processes, quality control measures, improvement exploration including design of jigs and looking into design for assembly.
• Will need to have a good understanding of existing manufacturing set-up and using techniques such as value stream mapping (VSM), will design the manufacturing concept to optimize available resources. After defining the manufacturing concept, will design the manufacturing processes and incorporating design for assembly (DFA) principles to simplify assembly processes by reducing components or assembly operations required. From these activities, with the objective of optimizing the overall product manufacturing cost.
• Setting up the manufacturing processes and quality control, will create work instructions, testing and/or checklists for inspection for critical to quality measurements. Will define test or measurement parameters and provide requirements to tester design team to develop the testers.
• To improve efficiency and manufacturing practices, the candidate will explore designing jigs for ease of assembly and critical alignments. Alternative tools exploration such as smart tools and fixtures which support better ergonomics will also be considered.
• During the projects before M300, the candidate will be involved in prototype build and support activities of pre-series build. The candidate is a stakeholder in PAG will provide timely feedback via TFS tickets and bringing the discussion to PAG meeting for improvement and resolution. The candidate works closely with stakeholders such as Project manager, Supplier Quality, Quality management, Production and Service. The candidate is also required to review and approve all initiated ECR, and improvement recommendations if necessary. The candidate is required to ensure the successful implementation of ECRs. The candidate supports the project and prepares at critical milestones for readiness check, Q-checks, and evaluation of product/safety risk assessment ensuring on time release of products to market. The candidate will be responsible to set-up the SCM acceptance and delivery criteria ensuring product test and assembly is meeting required specifications.
• Upon M300, the candidate will be the project lead for knowledge transfer between sites. The candidate is responsible to ensure the successful set-up of manufacturing site with scope of tester readiness, technical knowledge, production layout set-up and build capability.
• For the manufacturing engineering team, NPI Process Engineering will be the internal auditor ISO45001 with responsibilities of preparing and representing the team in external audits for recertification

Requirements

Roles and Responsibility:

• Lead and develop repair processes for Component Repairs for Rolls-Royce Trent Engine Components.
• Lead and assist in development of required tooling for respective repairs and inspection requirement, creation of manufacturing routers and process instructions (data cards, recording forms, Setup plans, etc.)
• Lead in demonstration of First article for assigned repair schemes per AS9102, AS 130000 and Rolls-Royce's SARRe Guideline for suppliers.
• Work closely with the Manufacturing Engineers and Specialist from Customer team to achieve assigned monthly targets of repair development of Repairs.
• Assist Manufacturing Engineers in resolution of technical and operational challenges or concerns raised to Rolls-Royce, and ensure follow through till approval is obtained, and repair is handed over to shop operations.
• Assisting all steps involved in Source Approval validation packages for Rolls-Royce Source control Repair schemes, and other documentation required for industrialization and approval.
• Assisting effectively interfaces with Engineering, Operations, Quality, Suppliers and other support teams during repair industrialization into the Shop and ensure that it meets Safety, Quality, Delivery and Productivity objectives, within schedule and budget.
• Interface with vendors and internal functions in an effective manner to ensure that the action items to be carried out for the repair development are executed on time and in budget.
• Assure that all engineering designs and technical data are completed and accurately documented to provide an accurate technical/historical base for future reference and to meet customer / end user requirements.

Technical Expertise:

• Bachelor’s degree in mechanical / Aeronautical / Material or other relevant Engineering
• Min. 5 years of Repair development or repair design experiences.
• Well versed in Rolls-Royce Repair Schemes designs, application of engine manuals and Cleaning and inspection chapter, Special Process Manuals and Overhaul process.
• Demonstrated knowledge and experience in Rolls-Royce Component Repair processes
• Good understanding of manufacturing and inspection tools and processes used in the repair industry, such as heat treat, thermal spray, glass bead & shot peening, arc welding, Wide Gap brazing, machining, etc.
• Knowledge of GD&T, tool/fixture design and applications in repair.
• Good to have expertise in Nozzle Guide Vanes and Stator Vanes repair.

- Analysis and Design of reinforced & Post-Tension concrete and steel structures using TSO, ETABS, SAFE, STAAD Pro, RAPT, TEDDS

- Analysis and design of foundation and earth retaining structures, excavation using PLAXIS

Requirements:

- Recognized Degree in Civil & Structural Engineering for registration with P.E. Board

Senior Civil and Structural Design Engineer

Job Description

• To carry out Design of standalone temporary or permanent structures;
• To carry out building structures design including assisting in structural framing plan;
• To carry out Geotechnical design if with the experience or willing to learn geotechnical design;
• To supervise and lead supporting design Engineers to carry out detailed Civil & Structural or Geotechnical Designs.
