• Conduct undergraduate and graduate student training for assigned Army Aviation Program of Instructions (POIs) as well as cockpit training.
• Serve as the UH-60 academic training instructor and develop program of Instructions, lesson plans, advance sheets and course material for the Aviation training program.
• Participate in courseware development and modification by using the Analysis, Design, Development, Implementation, and Evaluation (ADDIE) process.
• Monitor and evaluate progress in undergraduate and upper division undergraduate program courses in advanced technique systems.
• Serve as administrator on multiple government computer applications, servers, and learning management systems to deliver student courseware including conventional and automated assessments.

The major duties of this position include but are not limited to:

• Provides quality assurance with validation, including proofreading and review; while adhering to all applicable VHA and ILEAD processes and standards in the BIS/TRACE SPE, VA TMS and other ILEAD managed Learning Management Systems.
• Plans, manages and completes special projects and assignments such as finding new training resources, development of training packages and managing new training. roll-out.
• Responsible for managing in the VHA courses and content, reporting needs from the TMS or other ILEAD managed Learning Management Systems.
• Creates and manages appropriate curricula, training requirement or assignment profile to assign and manage the course and ensures course is placed in the appropriate catalog.
• Manages the creation of time based training events; registration and completions for VHA/ILEAD Program Office training.
• Makes evaluative analysis of administrative aspects of new and established education and training programs.

• Serves as Training and Battle staff Subject matter expert in the G37 Training Branch of Training and Exercise Division.
• Serves as the functional staff expert on institutional and individual training programs within a deployable command headquarters and major policy-making organization.
• Develops training plans, develops and maintains the Command training events calendar, and writes Programs of Instruction (POIs), such as Staff Orientation Course and others.
• Ensures the Command creates the most effective and efficient objectives regarding individual training requirements for the entire force structure.
• Acts as an authoritative consultant develops and implements special projects to improve procedures, answer internal, external, and higher headquarters inquiries, or correct a deficiency affecting the overall education and individual training mission.

Prepare lesson plans by selecting from and adapting instructor texts, guides, and/or commercial texts or developing a unique plan of instruction (POI) to meet the specific linguistic or pedagogical needs of a group of students when other guidance is unavailable.

Provide instruction to an extremely diverse student body from over 100 countries; students range in age from 18 to over 60 and come from varying cultural and religious backgrounds.

Counsel students and make recommendations for student placement, remedial and enrichment training, based on observation, assessment, and evaluations.

Establish learning environment conducive to adult ESL/EFL/ESP learning and to ESL/EFL teacher training. Provide appropriate physical learning environment by ensuring room is orderly and professional in appearance.

Teach ESL/EFL/ESP from basic elementary to advanced English to include: preparation for graduate level college courses; preparation for U.S. war colleges; over 24 specialty areas such as aviation, medical, explosive ordnance disposal; and both basic instructor development (train-the-trainer) and advanced instructor development and management of ESL courses.
