Job Summary

The Patient Service Officer is responsible for the effective administration and operations of the Patient Service Centre, working permanently on night shifts on a 4-day work week.

Job Description

• Update and maintain patient registration information accurately.
• Perform cashier duties in accordance with Standard Operating Procedures, including checking Medisave account holder balances from the CPF website, printing hardcopies, and attaching this information to the HIS after obtaining patient authorization.
• Address queries regarding doctors' fees or patients' hospital bills during discharge.
• Process and respond to patient requests received via letters, fax, and email appropriately. Handle all general inquiries, referring to senior staff on duty when necessary.
• Follow up on all incomplete admissions and discharges.
• Manage Bed and Operating Theatre bookings after office hours, on weekends, and public holidays.
• Enter maternity patients' bio-data upon receiving completed pre-registration forms.
• Address all general inquiries, referring to senior staff on duty when necessary.
• Answer incoming telephone calls from patients, clinics, and other organizations, providing non-clinical advice and information as needed.
• Accompany patients to the appropriate locations based on the case type in the absence of a porter and provide wheelchairs to patients when necessary.
• Attend to customer feedback and update the Patient Service Executive/Manager accordingly.
• Perform any other duties assigned by the manager.

Job Requirement

• Minimum GCE ‘O’ Level and above
• At least 1 years' experience in a customer service role preferably in a hospital environment

As a PSA, you will play a vital role in supporting patient care at home by coordinating services, managing patient data, and ensuring operational efficiency. Key Responsibilities:

• Patient Enrolment and Care Coordination:

- Guide patients and caregivers through the enrolment process, providing service details, advising on charges of service, and offering financial counselling as needed (Direct Patient Fronting).

- Coordinate and schedule care services to ensure patients receive timely and appropriate care.

• Administrative and Logistical Support:

- Accurately record charges for consumables, services, and treatments provided

- Manage logistical needs for patients to continue care at home, including supplies and equipment.

- Perform system administration for patient admissions, discharges, and transfers, and ensure accurate data entry and audit compliance.

• Data Management and Reporting:

- Support data collation related to patient progress, patient flow, and operational metrics and ensure all documentation and patient information is compliant with hospital policies, clinical protocols, and regulatory standards.

• Service Quality and Improvement:

- Demonstrate exemplary service quality, assist with service recovery when needed.

Job Requirements:

• Education & Experience:

-Diploma in any discipline; preferred fields

-Candidates with 1 year experience, ideally in care coordination, case management, or public healthcare are preferred.

-Proficiency with MS Office and various IT applications related to patient care.

• Qualities:
