What is the job role?

We are looking for people to join our team as Estate Assistants to support the maintenance of Coombe Abbey Park and the War Memorial Park by undertaking various grounds maintenance, cleansing and retail activities on site.

You will be ensuring a good visitor experience and will be assisting with improving standards and the continuous development of the parks.

The main day-to-day duties of the role include:

• Patrol the park ensuring that visitors can fully enjoy its facilities.
• Carry out routine maintenance including clearing litter, cleaning, and basic horticultural tasks such as pruning, leaf clearing and path edging.

We are looking for a School Property Information Officer to join our Corporate Property Information Team. In this role you will be developing, managing and maintaining the schools building and land information held in in a number of systems including spreadsheets, databases, mapping systems and CAD.

The Quantity Surveyor role:

As a Quantity Surveyor, you will actively price materials and labour for our responsive repairs workstream whilst managing the financial performance of this works to its completion. Focusing on reducing costs and improving efficiencies, you will have real impact on our profitability and commercial success.

Specific tasks will include:


Being responsible for the financial and technical aspects of the contract This will include procurement, managing budget, subcontractor management, invoicing, payments, cash flow, and cost control.
Minimising costs where possible, maximising value.
Working with direct labour and subcontractors, ensuring all work issued has labour targets to return agreed profit performance.
Developing and maintaining relationships with the workforce, customers, subcontractors, suppliers, and our client

As Quantity Surveyor, you will be responsible for, but not limited to, managing and monitoring project costs, tracking progress and cash flow forecast information, preparing and submitting interim valuations and payment applications to clients, managing and tracking project changes/variations, as well as supporting the operational team in commercial and contractual aspects.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will have previous experience working on heavy civils schemes and have good working knowledge of NEC form of contracts. In addition, you will be able to prioritise workloads and work within deadlines. Finally, you will have sound interpersonal skills and be able to work independently and as part of a team.

Your new role
As Quantity Surveyor, you will be based in their Coventry office and be responsible for, but not limited to, managing and monitoring projects costs, tracking progress and cash flow forecast information, preparing and submitting interim valuations and payment applications to clients, managing and tracking project changes/variations as well as supporting the operational team in commercial and contractual aspects.

What you'll need to succeed
In order to be successful, you will ideally hold a degree/HND in Quantity Surveying (or experience equivalent) and have good working knowledge of NEC form of contracts. In addition, you will also have previous experience working on heavy civils schemes and be computer-literate. Finally, you will have good interpersonal and organisational skills.
