Typical day as our Semi-skilled Construction Operative
- Safely drive company vans, ferrying materials, tools, and equipment to various locations.
- Loading, unloading and supporting the maintenance and repair teams with general tasks like carrying and installing.
- Keep tools sharp, adhering to health and safety.
- Maintaining a tidy workspace and taking on additional duties as directed.
- Supporting our trades including Joiners, Roofers, Bricklayers, Plumbers etc to achieve first time fixes and prevent multiple visits to customers’ homes. This includes repairs, maintenance and property refurbishments.
- Working in our properties in the North Lakes, Cumbria. All jobs are scheduled so you know exactly where you need to be.

You have
- A full current driving licence, as you’ll be provided with a company van for business use and commuting.
- A track record in a similar semi-skilled driver or labourer role
- Confidence in safely operating company vehicles and handling materials and tools.
- Physically able to lift and carry heavy objects with ease.
- You have a basic familiarity with tools and equipment used in maintenance and repairs, ready to lend a hand where needed.
- A flexible approach, able to use your own initiative and judgement.

Job details
- Working Monday to Friday, you’ll may be asked to take part in our out of hours service on a rota basis.
- Our office base is currently Maryport, although we are currently sourcing a new depot that will be within a nearby location.
- You must be able to use technology for logging jobs and completing online learning.
- You’ll need a Basic DBS check done and we pay for that.
