About the team
What you will be doing
This position is for Asset Finance. You will define, maintain and extend functional product architecture for FIS’ suite of Financial Services Applications. You will guide application development teams through development process, ensure development is done right the first time and have an understanding of how products relate with other products and ensures interdependencies are in focus. You will define and maintain architecture principles and standards for FIS application development based on FIS business requirements.

Knowledge / Experience
- Bachelor’s degree in computer science or engineering or the equivalent combination of education, training, or work experience.
- Minimum 10 years of experience with 5 or more years working in a distributed and heterogeneous computing environment.
- Demonstrated experience as an architect on large projects.
- Must have hands on experience with .NET 6/8, ASP.NET MVC Core, REST API, Microservice
- Must be comfortable with Cloud technologies preferably on Azure or any other cloud platform
- Relevant cloud certifications (e.g., Microsoft Certified: Azure Solutions Architect Expert) are highly desirable.
- Five or more years demonstrated experience in working with RDMBS (Sql Server/ Oracle) databases and NoSQL databases Experience with caching solutions like Redis is a plus.
- Experience in designing and implementing microservices architectures. Familiarity with containerization technologies (e.g. Docker, Kubernetes) is a must.
- Experience with modern front-end frameworks such as Angular (version 18 or higher) or React is a plus and considered a nice-to-have skill.
- Experience with messaging systems such as Kafka and RabbitMQ, including the design and implementation of event-driven architectures (EDA) is desirable.
- Must have led technology direction for multiple projects and led or presented architecture concepts outside the realm of the immediate workgroup.
- Experience in creating and delivering presentations for business stakeholders to communicate architectural concepts, project updates, and technology direction effectively.
- Experience in building Online Transaction Processing (OLTP), batch and reporting systems
- Working closely with the team to identify process needs, putting strong controls in place, reviewing work and reviewing process related documentations on timely basis.
- Reviews functional and technical designs to identify areas of risk and/or missing requirements
- Raise any issues related to process and get it resolved.
