How You Will Contribute:
Reporting to the Senior Director, Analog Engineering, you will play a key role as you will be responsible for the architecture, design and verification of high-speed serial interfaces for both electrical and optical links as part of a high-speed analog design team. You will be conversant in relevant standards for SERDES links and understand the various tradeoffs and techniques used to design low pJ/bit interfaces in advanced FinFet technology or below CMOS technology.
Your Responsibilities
Provide recommendations on circuit architecture showing tradeoffs of different schemes.
Establish a written design specification for the serial interface.
Build a top-level behavioral model of the solution.
Directly participate in the design and layout of circuits in advanced FinFet technology or below CMOS technology to build various blocks of the design.
Perform detailed simulations (SPICE and/or mixed-signal) to verify that the circuit solutions will meet the required specifications and match the behavioral model expectations.
Provide technical advice and assistance to more junior engineers on the team to guide their success.
Interface with DSP, digital, system, link and package engineering groups who are co-designing the solution.
Provide clear written updates to management on the progress of the work, any issues that are found and the overall schedule.
Monitoring of industry standards and alerting senior management of potential roadblocks in product development
