Your typical work assignments may include the following:

• Serves as the Director, Policy and Plans Directorate and leads, plans, organizes and oversees the activities of the Directorate.
• Reviews and structures organization to optimize use of resources to maximize the efficiency and effectiveness of the organization.
• Serves as the Agency's primary policy advisor on all matters pertaining to past conflict personnel accounting policy, to include research, investigation, remains recovery and identification related to unaccounted for personnel from specified conflicts.
• Formulates and coordinates policy initiatives in anticipation of future challenges to address present shortfalls, and actively engages in the coordination efforts of others.

Responsibilities

• Responsible for the supervision and resource planning of the Credit Review Group(CRG).
• Provide guidance and further enhance the overall capability of CRG.
• Management reporting on CRG’s activities in a timely manner.
• Support Co-Heads of IADAP on the reporting of CRG’s activities to internal and external stakeholders.
• Collaborate with the planning group and other relevant groups to enhance the efficiency and quality of the internal processes.
• Support various requests from IAD Tokyo.
• Make audit plans annually for the credit reviews in accordance to the risk assessment in APAC region.
• Cascade the credit review plans to CRG members and ensure deliverables are completed according to planned timeline.
• Supervise CRG members to follow-up on open issues identified and conduct validation review on remediation actions taken by auditee in accordance with CRG recommendations and address BUs’ concerns accordingly.
• Travel within APAC region is required.

Requirements

• Bachelor’s degree in Finance/Accountancy/Banking, Business Studies/Administration/Management or equivalent.
• 10-15 years’ experience in the areas of credit risk analysis, credit approval and/or credit review function. Audit experience in a leadership capacity would be an added advantage.
• Excellent and extensive knowledge in credit risk analysis, financial analysis/projections and credit rating models across Large Corporates, Structured Real Estate finance, Project Finance, Securitization, LBO and/or Banks/Non-Banks Financial Institutions.
• General knowledge in Retail and Islamic Finance would be an added advantage.
• Strong ability and confidence to lead the group members effectively with demonstrated problem-solving skills.
• Strong interpersonal and stakeholder management skills.
• Good writing and communication skills. Proficiency in both English and Japanese is highly preferred to present and communicate with senior stakeholders at Japan Head Office.
• Experience in Microsoft Excel, Word, Access, and Powerpoint. Added advantage for knowledge/experience in programming applications e.g. Power BI, Python.

This individual is responsible for developing and executing a robust risk-based Audit Analytics Program. Responsibilities include the creation of dynamic analytics tools, developing talent to have more analytics capabilities, and will drive efforts to support the audit disciplines of Financial Audit, Insurance Operations Audit, and Team Resources Audit with the goal to deliver value added audit analytics that materially enhance the efficiency and effectiveness of identifying risks, compliance and developing continuous auditing and monitoring of transactions/data.

The Data Analytics Audit Director is a critical player to support the company’s and the Internal Audit department's aspiration of enhancing a strong risk/control assurance function, being consistently sought out for risk/control advisory services, delivering value added data-driven risk/control insights, and positively influencing continuous improvement of the changing risk/control environment. 

WHAT YOU’LL DO:

• Develop and execute a dynamic risk based Audit Analytics Program, that is flexible and adaptable to support the ongoing growth and complexity of the company.   This person will also help develop the analytics skills across a diverse group of individuals within the Audit department
• Drive continuous improvements in the Audit Analytics Program which will include further development and support for implementation and evolution of automated analytic and data visualization tools, dashboards and other analytics/continuous monitoring solutions. These analytics will be used within the business as well as the audit department.
• Lead internal audit projects with a focus on developing and programming analytics and statistical tests to evaluate risks and controls over company activities as identified in the annual Internal Audit plan or supporting investigations.
• Support all Audit disciplines (financial, operational, and team resources) and other compliance audits through the use of data and analytics
• Be an active leader to drive  continuous improvement of Audit approaches, tools and methodologies; maintain compliance with The Institute of Internal Auditors’ Standards for the Professional Practice of Internal Auditing
   

WHAT YOU’LL NEED:

• Bachelor’s Degree required in Accounting, Finance, Data Science, or Management Information Systems
• Relevant experience required which must include 3+ years’ experience with a Large Public Accounting/Consulting Firm (Audit or Advisory Services serving public companies) or 3+ years of industry experience (large Public Company Internal Audit, SOX department, or data analytics/data science team preferred)
• Proven data analytic skills, utilizing metadata to identify potential errors and provide business insights
• Strong problem-solving skills
• Experience in successfully managing multiple concurrent projects
• Experience in effectively working in a large team environment (within the department and on cross-functional teams) to solve multi-faceted business issues
• Strong interpersonal skills; ability to interface and collaborate with key stakeholders and leaders
• Strong communication, negotiation, and presentation skills with stakeholders at all levels of the company both verbal and written formats
• Available to travel approximately 10-20%
• Have or willing to pursue various technical certifications such as CPA, CIA, and/or various insurance designations such as AAI

GENERAL FUNCTION:

Senior financial decision maker with primary responsibility for the Bancorp's centralized reconciliation process. Manages specialized and complex processes and assignments to drive the development, implementation, and monitoring of reconciliation processes and controls. Assumes responsibility and accountability for directing and overseeing enterprise-wide initiatives and processes. Viewed as an expert with specialized knowledge of processing areas. ESSENTIAL DUTIES AND RESPONSIBILITIES:

• Oversees the Bancorp's centralized account reconciliation functions including ensuring compliance with reconciliation standards, automation of accounts on the Frontier automated reconciliation software, and managing the disposition of aged reconciling items.
• Oversees the reconciliations for all transaction-based accounts, including those used in Central and Investment Operations, Retail and other lines of business, as well as for all systems application accounts. Responsible for providing strategic direction, developing a scalable environment, building and developing a high performing team, and catalyzing organizational change through process improvements.
• Sets cross-functional objectives and priorities related to reconciliation controls. Sets the technical strategy within Centralized Reconciliation given enterprise and business objectives. Is accountable for the impacts of technical direction on other functional areas across the enterprise.
• Reduces financial risk by directing the design and performance of reconciliation and by promoting clearing and correction of process defects. Represents Centralized Reconciliations at the Senior Reconciliation Risk Committee.
• Leads and champions improvement opportunities in cross-functional and business-level relationships.
• Negotiates with organizational leadership to accomplish cross-functional objectives.
• Manages department resources and budget to ensure that reconciliations advance the company's ability to sustain growth.
