Planned Maintenance Technician | Salary: £35,000 - £40,000
Location: Belliver Way, Roborough, Plymouth PL6 7BP
Are you an experienced Maintenance Technician looking for your next challenge in a fast-paced automated manufacturing environment? My client is seeking a skilled individual to join their team as a Planned Maintenance Technician.
Main Responsibilities:
- Perform AM/PM activities to maintain equipment, ensuring tasks are completed on-time and according to schedule.
- Collaborate with the Maintenance Planner to ensure maintenance tasks are well-documented and executed efficiently.
- Conduct regular maintenance audits, identifying opportunities for continuous improvement to enhance the PM program.
- Provide leadership in TPM (Total Productive Maintenance) activities as assigned.
- Support the organisation and preparation of spare parts and materials required for planned maintenance and equipment rebuilds.
- Participate in plant shutdowns to perform essential maintenance tasks.
- Work closely with the manufacturing unit's technical teams to ensure optimal equipment performance.
- Assist with the technical development and training of unit technical staff across all shifts.
- Carry out additional duties as required to support the business.
About You:
- Level 3 qualification in a relevant field (Mechanical, Electrical, Mechatronics) is highly advantageous.
- A minimum of 5 year's experience in a high-speed automated manufacturing setting.
- Strong team player with the ability to coach and mentor team members on technical matters.
- Proven ability to troubleshoot complex machinery and make quick, effective decisions.
- Excellent communication skills and a good understanding of both electrical and mechanical practices.
- Experience with control systems, robotics, or automation is a strong advantage.
