Information Management Responsible for the management and development of aligned policies and practices that support the use of electronic and where still relevant, paper health records systems across the organisations. Monitor use and development of electronic health records that support IG&M practices at each Trust to ensure efficient and appropriate use through ongoing participation in the Epic optimisation programme. Monitor and manage all associated risks, complaints and issues with health records and other information. Corporate and Financial Responsibilities Negotiates, plans, utilises and monitors financial performance, ensuring the service is delivered within the available budget and initiating service change as necessary for each Trust. Ensures that expenditure does not exceed allocation without prior agreement of the Chief Digital Information Officer Responsible for developing and delivering the annual savings plan for the Information Governance and Management services and for reducing costs while delivering efficient and effective services that demonstrate value for money for each Trust. Budgetary responsibility of £10m plus and over 180 WTE staff; holder for multiple budgets and ensuring financial control. Research, Governance and Training Develops and manages the implementation of systems, control processes and risk management arrangements to support monitoring of compliance with information governance standards, other Trust-wide policies and processes and best practice requirements; Ensures the resolution of complaints and issues from patients, staff, suppliers, other internal and external service providers and partner organisations in a timely and appropriate manner in line with Trust policy, procedures and service delivery values and priorities; Ensures, alongside the Clinical Governance department, Heads of Nurses, and other clinical staff, appropriate investigation and trend analyses of all complaints and adverse incidents. Prepares and provides briefings and reports for the CDIO, Senior Information Risk Owner, the Medical Director, the Chief Information Officer, the Trust Management Executive and the Trust Board and associated committees across both Trusts. Takes the lead for the service in planning ways to seek user feedback on the quality of the service. Ensures the development of robust training programmes with regards Information Governance, confidentiality, freedom of information and records management (corporate and clinical).

In this role, the post holder will also: Lead the Trusts Information Governance team to ensure that the Trusts Information Governance Agenda is evolving to support the changes in care pathways and commissioning structures within the NHS. Ensure that the Trusts systems and information collection processes are aligned to the Data Security and Protection Toolkit (CAF), ISO 27001/2 and compliant with the Data Protection Act 2018 as well as other regulatory frameworks in the aspects of confidentiality and data protection. Lead on the provision of expert advice to the Trust on Data Protection and Information Assurance. Co-ordinate the agenda setting and draft papers for the Trusts Information Governance and Security Steering Group (IGSSG). Attend local, regional and national information governance meetings on behalf of the Trusts and report back any relevant developments and issues to the wider team. Lead on ensuring that the Trust complies with all DSPT/CAF standards and ensure resulting action plans are robustly articulated, monitored, appropriately escalating and prioritising areas of risk.
