Position Overview:
They are seeking a motivated and knowledgeable Human Resource Advisor to join their Geelong-based childcare company. In this role, you will provide critical HR support, ensuring compliance with childcare industry regulations and advising both management and staff on HR-related matters. You will play a key role in creating and maintaining a positive, compliant, and effective work environment that supports the development of our staff and the children we care for.
Key Responsibilities:
Advise management and employees on HR policies, childcare industry regulations, and employment laws.
Develop, implement, and update HR strategies aligned with the organisation's goals and the unique needs of the childcare sector.
Conduct workplace inspections to ensure compliance with workplace health and safety standards.
Oversee employee relations, including conflict resolution, performance management, and grievance handling.
Support recruitment processes, including job postings, interviews, and onboarding for childcare staff.
Coordinate professional development and training programs for staff to ensure compliance with industry standards.
Monitor and update HR activities to reflect changes in legislation or industry practices.
Promote a positive and collaborative work culture focused on employee well-being and engagement.
Key Requirements:
Bachelor’s degree in Human Resources, Business Administration, Law or a related field.
Minimum of 3 years of experience in a human resources role.
Strong understanding of employment laws and childcare industry regulations.
Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to advise and influence staff at all levels.
Strong organizational skills with a proactive approach to problem-solving.
Experience in recruitment, employee relations, and performance management.
Knowledge of workplace health and safety standards, particularly within a childcare setting.
Proficiency in Microsoft Office and HR management software.
Salary Range: $80,000 to $90,000 + superannuat
