SUMMARY: The primary purpose of this position is to be the single point of contact for designing, developing, and evaluating technical training courses, instructional materials, and measurement devices through the analysis of educational or instructional problems or questions. Also responsible for supervising, planning, directing, organizing, and exercising control over subordinate employee(s) assigned to the Training Development element.
DUTIES:
- Serves as Training Development Element Chief, 382 TRS Training Development Element, developing strategic plans for the development of training courses at Ft Sam Houston and across 12 USAF medical treatment facilities located on 12 USAF military bases in subject-matter areas and groupings of courses aligned with Air Force (AF), Air Education Training Command (AETC), and unit objectives.
- Develops, reviews, and revises technical training courses, instructional materials, and measurement devices in accordance with AETC instructional guidance and AFI 41-105, Medical Training Programs.
- Represents the 382d Squadron Training Development Function with a variety of installation and functional area organizations to include those located at JBSA Ft Sam Houston and 12 USAF medical treatment facilities located across 12 military bases.
- Provides technical and administrative supervision to nine 382 TRS curriculum development managers (CDM), one test custodian, and ten career development course (CDC) writers within the Training Development Element.
