Job Summary
As a ServiceNow Developer you will apply your extensive knowledge of ServiceNow to configure custom workflows and procedures for various groups to deliver enterprise-wide business processes. The ideal candidate is a master of ServiceNow development and administration. This candidate possesses the skills and essential knowledge necessary to design, build, and customize applications and services. Working across the platform, this role delivers new functionality and innovative solutions, and is a lead contributor in the entire development life cycle.
Required Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor Degree and 2 years Information Technology experience OR Technical Certification and/or College Courses and 4 year Information Technology experience OR 6 years Information Technology experience.
* Possess ability to sit and perform computer entry for entire work shift, as required.
* Possess ability to manage workload, manage multiple priorities, and manage conflicts with customers/employees/managers, as applicable.
* Expert in JavaScript
* Provide technical leadership for planning, designing, configuring, testing, implementing, documenting, and maintaining the ServiceNow platform to meet business needs and corporate objectives.
* Evaluate current business practices with emerging technology and recommend relevant process enhancements and products that anticipate or complement the strategic corporate direction.
* Evaluate ServiceNow platform performance, debug software problems, and make recommendations for problem resolution.
* Design and develop new ServiceNow applications, workflows and services.
* Provide subject matter expertise to the ServiceNow application, and ability to implement modules and other third-party applications used within the environment to ServiceNow for ITSM and operations management.
* Transform business needs from the customer to tangible items within ServiceNow using platform modules or creating new scoped applications.
* Implement access controls to ensure an appropriate least privilege approach to solution design.
* Work with the Product Management team to create workflows, working demos, and prototypes prior to full deployment within the ServiceNow environment.
* Complete detailed documentation for workflows and services implemented within ServiceNow
* SDLC Methodology (Agile / Scrum / Iterative Development).
* System performance management.
* Systems change / configuration management.
* Business requirements management.
* Problem solving /analytical thinking.
* Creative thinking.
* Ability to execute.
* Travel availability up to 20%.
Preferred Job Qualifications:
* Bachelor Degree in Computer Science or Information Technology.
Two or more years’ experience as a ServiceNow Certified Developer.
* Three or more years of experience developing large global enterprise ServiceNow instance which includes releases on Kingston or later.
* Ability to customize workflows, code Business Rules and UI Scripts using JavaScript to create custom applications and configurations on the ServiceNow platform.
* Experience in configuration and customization of the following modules: Service Request Management, Incident, Problem, and Change Management, Performance Analytics and custom reporting, Service Portal, Service Catalogue, or Asset management.
