This is an amazing (and rare!) opportunity to join Home Group’s HRD team as a HR Business Partner. Working closely with managers across the business, you’ll support their future people vision while managing complex people matters, from disciplinaries and grievances through to complex change through TUPEs and restructures. You’ll also play a key role in supporting our wellbeing, equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging work.
Typical day as a HR Business Partner
- Providing a proactive business partnering approach to managers across the business to drive effective people management and supporting change.
- Working with managers from a wide range of disciplines across the business – that could be housing, care, repairs and maintenance, finance, IS and more!
- Supporting managers to manage more complex ER matters, by adopting a coaching approach whilst exploring and mitigating risk to the business.
- Playing a key role in restructures and TUPEs, assisting managers and affected colleagues to ensure a smooth transition for everyone.
- Supporting our wellbeing and equity, diversity, inclusion and belonging (EDI&B) projects that truly enhance our colleague experience.
- Working with a fantastically collaborative and supportive HR team who always check-in with each other and available to bounce ideas and find best solutions.

You bring…
- Ideally CIPD qualified, you have significant experience in a HR business partnering role.
- A brilliant understanding of employment legislation and employee relations.
- Significant experience of change management through TUPEs and restructures.
- Experience of working with people data, using it to develop and share insights with stakeholders to inform decisions and improve practice.
- An authentic and professional approach that instantly brings credibility to you and the HR team.

You’ll join Kev and our HR team, we’re super passionate about what we do! You’ll often find Kev in the office 5 days a week (it’s better than his kitchen table) with a spreadsheet open and a can of Diet Coke or Irn Bru to draw on his Scottish roots! The team are even better – a really supportive gang who support and seek input and insights from each other.
Job details
- This is a full-time role working typical office hours Monday to Friday, but we’re open to agreeing a work pattern with you.
- You’ll manage your own diary. If you need a break to take delivery of your new fridge or take a longer lunch for a haircut, you can use your flexi time to manage that!
- This is a hybrid role, so you’ll spend at least 2 days in the office and 3 days working at home.
