Job Overview:
As a Van Delivery Driver, you will be the "face of the business," delivering fresh cooking oil to the catering industry and collecting used oil to return to the Microsite. Relationship building with customers is key, as our client aims to ensure every order is fulfilled in a timely, efficient, and friendly manner. You'll also have the opportunity to assist in generating new business during your rounds.

Key Responsibilities:

• Pre-trip inspection of the vehicle to ensure that it is in proper working order and complies with safety regulations.
• Regular maintenance of the vehicle to ensure it remains in proper working order, and reporting any mechanical issues to the appropriate personnel.
• Driving the vehicle in a safe and efficient manner, while adhering to traffic laws and complying with all safety regulations and procedures while operating the vehicle.
• Safely Loading and unloading of cargo and ensuring it is secured according to safety regulations.
• Delivering fresh oil to the catering / restaurant trade and collecting used cooking oil.
• Making/taking payment for oil and the maintenance and accuracy of cash/pre-paid cards.
• Communicating with dispatch and customers to provide updates on delivery times and any issues that arise during transport.
• Accurate recording of information following Oil delivery and / or collection, eg completion of Waste Transfer Notes
• Reporting of missed or failed deliveries on a daily basis to Microsite Manager.
• Build and maintain good relationships with customers and prospective customers, assisting with sales efforts when required.

Requirements:

• Driving Licence & Clean Record: A valid UK driving licence with no points or endorsements.
• Van Driving Experience: Proven experience driving vans in the UK, with a solid understanding of road laws and regulations (6 months minimum)
• Excellent Communication Skills: Ability to communicate effectively with the Transport Office, customers, and other drivers.
• Professionalism: Maintain a professional appearance and conduct at all times.
• Customer Service Orientation: A friendly, positive attitude with a willingness to engage with customers to enhance their experience.
• Sales Experience (Desirable): Experience in business-to-business sales and achieving sales targets as part of a driving role would be an advantage but is not essential.
• Safety Awareness: Strong knowledge of vehicle safety and workplace health and safety regulations.
• Problem-Solving Ability: Ability to handle unexpected situations and demonstrate problem-solving skills.
• Attention to Detail: A keen eye for detail, particularly when handling documents.
• Reliability & Flexibility: A strong work ethic, reliability, and flexibility with work hours, including nights, weekends, and holidays if needed.
• Willingness to Learn: After completing the probation period, the company may offer the opportunity to train towards a 7.5t licence, should it align with vacancy needs.

Primary Duties & Areas of Responsibility Assess, plan, develop, implement and evaluate treatment programmes for patients that promote health and well-being. Help the practice develop and deliver specialist primary nurse led services, including chronic disease management. Manages programmes of care for patients with chronic diseases by planning, providing and evaluating care under agreed guidelines and patient group directions. Maintains disease registers in liaison with administrative staff. Undertakes annual reviews of patients understanding and ability to self manage. Make professionally autonomous decisions for which he/she is accountable and provide safe, evidence based, cost effective, individualised patient care. Where necessary evaluate patient test results in conjunction with the patient and their GP and ensure the appropriate course of treatment is initiated. Make appropriate referrals to other members of the primary, community and secondary care teams. Undertake regular medication reviews for patients for groups of patients deemed suitable by the clinical team. Administer child and adult immunisations and vaccinations in accordance with national and local programmes. Competent in anaphylaxis and resuscitation techniques. Ensuring safe storage, rotation and disposals of vaccines and drugs and that adequate stock levels are maintained Undertake procedures including: venepuncture, BP management, urinalysis, peak flow, spirometry, stitch/clip removal, cytology and wound management Promote health and well being, giving general education advice on diet, contraception, smoking chronic disease management, exercise etc... Initiate and carry out programmes of health screening as agreed with the practice clinical team. Enables, supports and encourage individuals, families and groups to address issues which affect their health and social well being. Contribute to the practice achieving its GMS contract obligations including quality, organisational and access targets. Maintain accurate records according to NMC rules. Ensure all data protection requirements are met when gathering, recording and storing patient data. Liaise and maintain good working relationships with all members of the practice team. Work within the multi-disciplinary team within the practice and across the wider health system. Promote a learning environment for patients, nurses and other health professionals.
