This position is located in the Division of Hydropower Administration and Compliance in the Office of Energy Projects.

As an Environmental Engineer, some of your typical work assignments may include:

• Performing environmental compliance activities related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of FERC jurisdictional hydropower facilities including determining the adequacy of the data supplied, analyzing and assessing the potential effects on engineering and environmental resources, and determining compliance with the Commission's rules, policies, and other laws such as the National Environmental Policy Act (NEPA) and the Clean Water Act.
• Preparing compliance, NEPA, and other environmental related documents focusing on compliance activities related to the construction, operation, and maintenance of hydropower facilities.

What will I do in this position if hired?

In this position, you will serve as a Program Analyst for the Resilience-FIMA, Federal Insurance, Policyholder Services Division. Typical assignments include:

• Supporting the development, drafting, and amending of FID regulations located at 44 CFR pts 61 and 62. Providing recommendations on amendments and revisions to regulations, procedures, and practices pertaining to insurance coverage and claims. Preparing Rules and Regulations that implement the intent and directions of Congress in the conduct and scope of the NFIP.
• Identifying policy issues and collaborates with subject matter experts to draft, update, and implement FID policy materials.
• Preparing and reviewing directives, guidelines, forms and other documents regarding flood insurance matters. Working with the contractor staff to develop and document practice and procedure manuals, including: the NFIP Claims Manual and the Flood Insurance Manual.

This position is within the Health Administration Service at the Truman VA Medical Center in Columbia, Mo, which is a Complexity Level 1c facility.

The Health Benefits Assistant receives and processes applicants for admission and outpatient treatment. Schedule appointments, determine eligibility and route patients applying for care. Assign admitting patients to wards and notifies wards of pending admissions and verifies information is correct. Primary duty is to interview Veterans, or their designated representative, in order to collect demographic information relative to their finances, insurance, address, work history, etc. This information serves as a basis for determining entitlement to medical care as well as bill preparation and collections on billable episodes of inpatient and outpatient care.
