In this Correspondence Analyst role, you will become a key team member of Homeland Security individuals involved in serving as a central control point for all incoming/outgoing official correspondence for U.S. Border Patrol.

This position starts at a salary of $99,200.00 (GS-12, Step 1) to $128,956.00 (GS-12, Step 10).

Typical duties of this assignment include:

• Independently researching complex and sensitive correspondence requests and inquiries to determine the most appropriate manner and content in formulation of the response.
• Coordinating the identification, analysis, and issuance of policies with USBP managers and senior CBP officials.
• Entering data into correspondence tracking databases.
• Logging all incoming correspondence into CBP Tracking and directs Directorate subject matter experts do develop responses to the appropriate office with specific action and guidance for providing an authoritative and complete response.

The purpose of this position is for the incumbent to serve as project officer for discretionary and formula grants, cooperative agreements, and contracts related to the Assistive Technology (AT) program, ensuring appropriate administrative and scientific monitoring of assigned projects.

• You will develop individual department and tenant environmental air compliance and protection programs to ensure air regulations and directives are adhered to.
• You will evaluate work performance of staff to identify the air training needs of the employees.
• You will conduct environmental air program meetings to discuss the effectiveness of current and planned actions.

• YOU WILL/MAY:
• Ensure that regulated establishments produce a safe product by executing appropriate inspection methods, determining non-compliance with regulatory requirements, documenting noncompliance and initiating enforcement action, where warranted.
• Verify that meat and poultry slaughter and/or processing establishment's Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans meet regulatory requirements.
• Execute Sanitation Standard Operating Procedures (SSOP) and Hazard Analysis and Critical Control Point (HACCP) Plans effectively to prevent unsanitary conditions and adulteration of product.
