The post is a full-time, fixed term for 12 months, post covering the service over 7 days per week working long days and nights. The team covers Lancaster, Morecambe and surrounding areas.

An exciting opportunity has arisen for a band 6 mental health practitioner to work in the Home Treatment Team in Lancaster.

The Home Treatment Team cares for people who are experiencing acute episodes of mental illness or emotional distress. The service is an alternative to admission and offers intensive support to service users and their families in the community.

The service works closely with the in-patient wards to support early discharges and with other parts of the mental health services as well as third sector providers, so great communication skills are essential.

As a member of the team you would be working with a multi-disciplinary team consisting of Mental Health Nurses; Support Workers; Occupational Therapist; Psychologist and Consultant Psychiatrist.

You will provide a comprehensive assessment and triage service and, where necessary signposting or clear onward facilitation to a mental health pathway.

Your referrers will mostly include IRS (initial response service), Police and Acute Hospital colleagues, trust employed mental health practitioners working in GP service. Service users will be triaged collaboratively and a decision will be made in consultation with the referrer and with the use of a clinical tool, within the response time required.

This comprehensive, collaborative triage system will lead to comprehensive assessment clear onward facilitation of service users to the most appropriate care following assessment.

The post holder will provide evidence based mental health assessments and/or signposting to alternative service provision for people who present requiring a specialist urgent mental health assessment.

Home Treatment Team

You will be a member of a team who provides comprehensive assessment, co-ordination and the delivery of a high quality mental health service for service users of Home Treatment who in the absence of the team would require hospital admission.

You will help to co-ordinate the care of Home Treatment service users, and assist in promoting the use of evidence-based practice through the provision of clinical advice and support; acting as a role model; and providing education and training where appropriate.

About the Role

We have a new opportunity to work as a Rapid Response Care Worker. For this role you must be a driver with a full, clean driving license and access to own vehicle.

As a Rapid Response Care Worker , you will be covering the Chester and Ellesmere Port area. The successful candidate will be required to attend calls on a last-minute basis due to sickness or urgent referrals. We are looking for dynamic and inspirational Residential Childcare Support Worker to join our already established Residential Team at Bayview. You'll be working in one of our family feel children's homes in Heysham or rural North Lancaster, with a maximum of four young people per home.

Our service requires individuals who will help guide young people aged 8-18 with social, emotional and behavioural difficulties to success and who are dedicated to supporting our ethos. As well as this, you will support in providing a safe, secure, homely and positive environment for the children and young adults in the home so that their lives are progressively improved. All our homes are rated 'Outstanding' or 'Good' by Ofsted so as such we would need individuals to continue improving and developing the quality, image and reputation of the Home.

The Specialist Autism Team adopts a multidisciplinary team approach to working which supports the evolutionary scope of the service. The MDT is made up of Occupational Therapists, Nurses (RMN & RLD), Speech and Language Therapists, Therapy Assistants & Clinical Psychologists.

Through such an approach we are continually learning, developing and findings different ways of working in order to meet the needs and wishes of the individuals we work with. For this reason we have regular team development sessions and each team member plays a vital role in sharing knowledge and information.

I am currently working with a public sector organisation to support the recruitment of a Leisure and Commercial Venues Manager. This organisation's priorities and ambitions include the promotion of healthy and happy communities, whilst being co-operative and kind.
Your new role
This role reports into the Chief Officer of Environment and Place and has supervisory responsibility for four direct reports. The Leisure and Commercial Venues Manager will manage the continuous development, improvement and success of all commercial venues through effective planning, budget management, and staff management. This person will lead the development and implementation of the services business plan by working with all relevant stakeholders.
37 hours per week- flexitime offered.
To summarise, you will:

• Be responsible for providing regular reports to the Chief Officer highlighting performance against targets including new business. You will assist in setting new targets which maximise financial performance and reduce operating costs. Reports to include customer and stakeholder feedback and cost analysis.
• Working with various organisations to ensure the success of such key events for the community. Ensuring a commercial approach to programming enables rapid response to change in market demands in order to maximise financial performance. This will include supporting and working closely with the central marketing and corporate teams in coordinating marketing, sales and public relations activities.
• Monitors' financial performance and efficiency of own team ensuring delivery of work within budget and prepare and submit bids for external funding as an when opportunities arise to maximise the use of these funding opportunities to deliver additional services not funded by corporate budgets.
• Staff management responsibilities to include management of all direct reports, annual appraisals and regular coaching and mentoring. Leading on staff recruitment, including providing details to management team, ensuring high quality induction processes are in place and probationary reviews are carried out on time.

Essential:

• Project management skills.
• Experience in cost analysis.
• operational experience in a given venue or event
• Experience leading and implementing change.
• Strong numerical, report writing and verbal communication skills.
• Effective time management.
• Flexible and self-motivated- able to juggle a varied and broad workload and meet deadlines, often under pressure.
• Able to work collaboratively to achieve targets.
• Experience of providing good customer service to a wide range of users.
  Desirable:
• Educated to degree level or with a good standard of education.
