Profit Management
- Managing the day to day commercial retail operations and achieving sales target.
- Compile and analyse sales results, retail KPIs and identify opportunities and performance gap to improve sales and service.
- Responsible for overseeing the operations of retail outlets, achieving sales targets and profitability, minimizing operating expenses, and implementing sales strategies.
- Planning for Annual Budgets.
Operation Management
- Monitor and ensure compliance to all retail standards and regulatory requirements by trade authorities, complex landlords and department stores.
- Design and implement effective Standard Operating Procedures (SOPs).
- Implement controls in cash collection, stock count schedules, stock control and inventory integrity.
- Ensure security of staff and business areas are in place and theft/pilferage preventive controls, surveillance cameras functioning and monitoring,
- Ensure effective manpower coverage for all stores and submission of staff OT hours.
- Recruit, train, develop, plan, organize the team from time to time
- Ensure housekeeping of all business areas are executed and maintained to the highest level of standards
- Take charge/participate in roadshow and other marketing activities to promote brand
- Drive business expansion by identifying new outlet and store opening opportunities.
Leadership
- Support stores to maintain productivity and retail operations standards, discipline, training and development.
- Cultivate effective communication to build/improve staff motivation and morale leading to a positive working attitude and environment.
- Conduct staff appraisal and performance reviews.
- Lead and coach staff towards achieving the sales goals and service standards and through trainings where required
- To tactically strategize and drive the outlets to achieve sales and services targets.
- To develop, motivate and inspire outlet staff towards maximum performance in surpassing targets via performance driven initiatives and rewards. Analyse outlet staffs Competency Gap and plan their training and development to meet acceptable standards, efficiency and productivity levels.
- To direct the outlet team in ensuring compliance to all policies and procedures. Review the guidelines and provide recommendations to the Management when necessary.
- To resolve escalated key customers’ problems/complaints and provide guidance to the team to ensure fast resolutions to meet the customers’ expectations and satisfaction.
- To effectively drive the outlet based on the Company’s objectives and performance initiatives and its effectiveness to the Management.
- To conduct periodic visits to outlets to ensure the set standards are achieved as well as continuously keep abreast to industry best practices. Ensure efficient and effective management as well as high performance sales.
- To build, enhance and maintain effective relationships with internal and external parties (i.e. local authorities, government bodies, the malls’ management) in order to ensure good support or approval to execute all related operational matters.
- To continuously review, feedback and propose enhancement to internal policies, systems, processes and procedures, and relevant marketing initiatives to ensure it enhance the operational efficiency and effectiveness of outlets.
- To manage, check and enforce all promotional programs, displays and key activities are delivered with the set standards.
- To provide coaching and guidance to outlet staff in meeting acceptable operation standards to achieve Customer Service & Experience objectives.
- To monitor and control the cost structures including manpower cost in achieving profitable, effective and efficient operations at outlets.
- To contact store managers and other outlet staffs to communicate relevant information.
- To mentor and motivate sales staff to put in their best in order to achieve financial goals.
- To develop and implement budget and plans for retail operations.
- To possess knowledge of visual presentation techniques, ability to interpret and achieve visual objectives.
- To work closely with Visual Merchandiser to utilise the space available and merchandises to ultimate profitability.
- To monitor inventory levels to determine the need for stock supply at each retail outlet.
- To set and regulate product pricing using results of market and demand analysis.
- To create customers’ awareness on of the outlets’ products and services.
- To effectively handle additional responsibilities as assigned by the Company on an as-needed basis from time to time
